@Tori3569 It doesn't do that for all items. When I type the item number exactly as it appears on the screen I should be on the page for that item; it shouldn't take an extra step.

@Pyrite2616 Looks like there's a little nit picky going on here. First of all, everyone here has already said they do not add the dash. In addition, not having to add the dash is easier. Not really sure why you feel there is a glitch in the system. There is no glitch. You do NOT have to add the dash.
I have shopped with QVC since 1986 and even back then, when you had to call your order in, there was never a dash.
I think you need to move on from this, it really is easier without adding an extra keystroke.
I agree, QVC has some problems with their website. This is not one of them to even take note of, in my opinion.

@Pyrite2616 It is not an extra step. In fact, it's one less keystroke. Just don't add the dash and you will go right to the item.

@cjm61You are talking about YOUR experience, and that is great, but that is not everyone's experience.
For those who do research on the QVC website you realize when they are working on things in real time and notice the changes right away. There are many posts about this, and this was not the only change that happened today. I had the drop down menu of categories extending vertically as well:

Yes it is an extra step. I already have item numbers with dashes typed up and I copy and paste them into the search bar. Now I have to backspace the dash.

@Still Raining I know. They don't use the dashes on the website (see below). But they use them on live television and that is why the website has, until today, allowed for you to search using both formats.
There's no need to take a picture of your computer. If you want to have a screenshot-off I'll happily oblige.

Been shopping for close to 30 years never used a dash, sorry you are having issues.

Maybe from now on when you do research on the QVC website you can forestall frustrations by removing the dash when you are saving and then you won't have that step when re-entering later.
