Watch your returns!

[ Edited ]

I psoted on a thread the other day about wrong items being shipped- I think this time of year on line retailers are overwhelmed. And holiday shopping is only starting!!! Woman LOL

I sent back several returns in one package- one item being a defective piece and QVC was going to waive the return shipping fee.  This time they charged the return shipping fee on a different item in the package!

I've sent returns back like this many times and it was seamless, I even confirmed with cs that this was okay to do. I emailed cs to correct  this- but overall, watch your returns carefully this time of year. !

I'm confused.  You sent 3 items back in 1 package but only 1 was defective and you weren't supposed to be charged the return shipping?  But you sent 2 items back in the same package with the defective item, and charged you the return fee on 1 item?

If that is the case, I'm not sure I disagree with them charging you for a return.  I don't necessarily think it's fair to include other items in with your defective item to avoid a return shipping fee.

If I am returning multiple items and 1 is defective and was shipped separately, I would ship it back separately using the prepaid label.  Then I would return the other items, expecting to pay for the return.

QVC told me there's only 1 fee per returned package-  you can include multiple items in the package. And if one of those items has a return fee waived, use the label for that item and the return fee for the package is waived.

I've seen this off & on the past few months that some are saying that they used one return label, tore off the others, but all returned orders in one box got charged $7. I'm just not ordering at all, unless I'm 99% certain I will keep it. I don't want to call CS to state my case. I've also seen a couple posts where they paid at the post office and still got charged! I'm saving money here now, mostly due to not risking to go through an expensive return.

And therein lies part of the problem with QVC.  You can talk to 5 CS reps and get 5 different answers.  I was told NEVER to return multiple items in one package.  I was also told that if I do return multiple items in one package and use the return label, they will charge me a separate return fee for each.  LOL

WOW! I've heard different things over the years about returning items by themselves vs packing them up together.  When I pack them together i include a seperate note summarizing  the items in the package, how each item should be processed (return, exhange, etc).  It's for me as well, so I know I didn't miss something. But I've never been told EACH item will incur a return fee!!! Woman LOL

CS corrected my return amount already, they replied to my email FAST. Thank you QVC! Woman Happy
