Why doesn't UPS deliver most of our packages anymore?? Mine go UPS to  USPS. I now have 4 packages that went to the post  office on the other side of my county then out to another side now back out of town. Never made it to my post office or my address.  All ordered on the 17th. Post office says UPS drops off 100's of packages and someone sent them to the wrong place. 3 times!!!

@Rose429I'm guessing but I bet it's because UPS is so busy delivering for Amazon that they pass off as much of everyone else as they can.  Amazon gets special treatment because of their overwhelming volume, starting with a lower rate than other shippers and including who knows what else.

My PO where I am right now has been quite good -  once something actually ships from QVC I get it very fast -  and twice within the last week the carrier showed up at my front door with packages when she could have just left me a note telling me to go to the PO and pick them up!

Happened to me just yesterday!  I am starting to dread seeing that hand off and seriously I may order less.

The world has gone nuts - - my orders form QVC via UPS... finally get to Ohio - and then NY - then it's handed OFF to the post office - so it goes BACK to Ohio............and days later........back to NY - (get this) and back to UPS on other side of the city.......and finally to my post office where it takes 2 or 3 days to be delivered.

THIS IS NO WAY TO RUN A RAILROAD - as the old saying goes.

It is a new thing QVC uses that makes shipping cheaper.  At least that is what CS told me when I was trying to track a package and see why it was taking so long to arrive.  Packages are shipped partway via UPS and then dropped off at a USPS distribution center for final delivery.  I have had several sit there for a week or more.

same problem with me....I live in Phoenix.  UPS isn't to bad usually , then it is transferred to USPS (mail innovations).  then sits in the post office seems like forever.  I really think it takes longer for the transfer and then delivery than the actual UPS portion.  so frustrating!!!!!!!!  However sometimes UPS can be terrible.  Packages can make several stops across the country before it makes its way to AZ.

I get the package the same day 90% of the time whether UPS decides to deliver it or drop it at USPS.  My local USPS is really good about getting the packages out the same day UPS drops them off.  What they aren't so good at is delivering my package without it being a wrinkled mess.  They ball it up and stuff it in the mailbox whether it fits or not.

@millieshops. Wrong!  Amazon  is not getting special treatment.  My Amazon packages are also being delivered by the USPS.   I don't know why the news media hasn't cover this but it's some kind of agreement between UPS and the USPS to save time or money.  I think online shopping has exploded more and faster than anyone imagined and they're struggling to cope with it.

It is working well in my area (SC). I have not seen items sitting in the post office when I check the tracking. I did notice one package came to the main post office  one day and went to another town 100 miles away and back here overnight. I also get some ups deliveries if tgey are going to be in my area on the delivery day.

If my dog doesn't like you, neither do I.
