The only problem with AdBlock is that it prevents you from using the rebate sites like MrRebates, Ebates, etc.

I use Adblock Plus and what I do is disable it for this site so that MrRebates can go through and work properly.   You can either disable it on sites temporarily, or just leave them disabled.  I have it disabled here and am not seeing ANY ads, still.

I'm glad I circled back to this thread.  I wasn't aware that Mr. Rebates wouldn't work with Adblocker.

@Barbara-QVC, I appreciated the information you provided. The ads I see are NOT relevant, and degrade the quality of my experience on Qvc.com. Is there a way to eliminate them, please?

Hi @KaySD,

I can understand that you might find that some of the ads are not relevant.  To opt out of interest-based advertising around the web, visit http://www.aboutads.info/ or http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/ ; however, please note that opting-out of advertising networks services does not mean you will not receive advertising while using our site in its entirety. It just means you will no longer see ads conducted through networks, as provided by their policies.

I hope this helps.

Thank you for the clarification, @Barbara-QVC. I dislike this practice but I understand what you are saying. I never, ever click on ads that stalk me like that--even if it's something that interests me. And I tend to stop buying from vendors that target me with those ads.

I appreciate more than ever not seeing ads elsewhere for things I look at on QVC.com. That really would be awful.

Also, I used that "opt out" service you cited. The result so far has been an increase in ads and also in junk email. It feels like I in quicksand--thrashing around trying to escape is only making it worse, not better. Perhaps you might want to be more cautious about recommending it.

@butterfly123 I'm not getting ads. What kind of ads are you getting?

I do use Adblock Plus (it's free) It blocks a lot of junk.

Oh, I forgot I have adblockers on! That explains why I've never seen the ads people are talking about.

Hi @KaySD

I will certainly pass your feed back along regarding the ads.
