Clearly TransUnion is the issue.  If they provided Synchrony with certain credit info on you, that is what Synchrony will use.

If you only have a mtg payment and pay your CC in full every month....why in retirement would you even want another credit card??

Why not just pay for a vac in full either from Q or somewhere else using one of the credit cards you are in good standing with?

It's a vac, not a car !

Yes, but maybe the Q was offering one of their credit specials when you opened a Q card account ($40-50), which they sometimes claim you can use right away but most times you have to wait to use that credit.

The store should have given the kid a "counterfeit detection pen" to use, instead of letting him MAKE A BIG SCENE by accusing a customer of being a thief and shoplifter (with no proof whatsoever).      di

UpNorthGorgy, I received a notice from Facebook suspending my account.  They want to verify my identity.  I was instructed to take a video selfie slowly turning from front face to the left then to right.  No Way!  So I have been off Facebook for a couple of months now.  I read somewhere that they are gathering these videos to sell to companies working on facial recognition technology.  Dont's know if that is true, but I am not sending video of myself to anyone!

And I certainly would not send a video of my driver's license full of useful information!  These companies are crazy.

I would think they would HAVE to have only used a detector pen to be able to even make te accusation. Thats nuts they didn't do that test but made that accusation. Ok how did this end...Then what happened?

Folks, that wasn't Facebook  nor Synchronicity asking for video of your face and photos of your drivers licence...that was a criminals  spoof account. If you are ever contacted like that or anytime actually...I have learned to hang up and YOU call the bank or company, directly so that you know who you are talking to.

I recently had a crazy complex issue re my cell phone and supposed fraud. They called me from a spoofed Verizon business number ( when you Google the number)

They said someone in NJ had tried to purchased 2 Apple phones using my Verizon account and they were calling to check if I authorize it.  They knew  my bank name, how I auto deducted my monthly payment by debit, etc.  I had to deal with this "now" and not when I got home later.. i was at work. They had me on my phone for 15 min, switching me to a "manager" etc. At one point I figured out when the "manager"  wanted me to Zelle a one-time refundable fee "since they couldn't take a credit card over the phone"  to switch my account to a new account to protect it from  further fraud. I hung up.

Called my phone company directly,. This was a total fraud, of people who did have info and I had to spend hours redoing passwords to everything I had passwords for etc. Still having to watch to make sure nothing was compromised later.

It WAS Facebook.  My account is gone, verified by others.  When I attempted to go into Facebook there was link to submit the video.

I Googled this to see if it was legimate, and there were several others stating the same happened.

I also received an email telling me I had X days left to submit video before my account was permantly closed.

@FLtricia,  run a deep security scan on your device. There is a good chance there is something imbedded (malware) that needs to be removed.

A good place to start would be using Malwarebytes and also Ccleaner followed by whatever security comes with your device.

@RespectLife  -  Why are you questioning why the OP wants a card?  You're kind of ridiculing him.

@San Antonio Gal - I agree.  Maybe QVC was doing a promo and the OP wanted to take advantage of it.  I'd never question why someone wanted to open another CC.  It's not pertinent to the issue.
