I have a Cooks Essentials 6 qt oval pressure cooker that I have had for several years. It is model number 99725. The tiny gasket that keeps the metal floating locking pin from popping out when the unit comes up to pressure is missing. It must have come off during cleaning and I did not notice it. I called Spectrum, the manufacturer and they do not make pressure cookers anymore and could not help me. This model is no longer available at QVC. Where can I purchase this tiny gasket. Is it compatible with another brand's parts? Thanks, Kathy

@kdwatkins, you have my sympathy.  I have the same oval unit and hold my breath every time I use it, which is generally two or three times a week, fearing that this will be the time it no longer works.

I have a real thing about the tall, round units.  I just do not like them and refuse to get one.

If you cannot find a way to get your oval unit repaired I recently found a 4 qt oval on Amazon if that size will work for you.

What is good for the goose today will also be good for the gander tomorrow.
