I opened a new QCard and received a $60.00 credit to use on next purchase.I sent product back and was told I lost the 60.00 credit bc I sent product back.I think this is unfair and the credit should go back on my QCard so I can use another time.No where do they explain this fact to you.....This policy needs to change

Others came here with the same complaint.  No, it doesn't seem fair.

Did you read the mouse print before you signed up for the card...you know the print so small only a mouse wearing magnifying glasses can read?

There might have been something in there saying you would lose the money if the item was returned.

Big deal. That happens with a lot of retailers. You had a chance to buy something for $60 off. It's their rules, like it or not.

BTW, when I get a freebie, I am sure before purchasing that I'll keep whatever I buy.

Yep.  I haven't found any retailer yet that reimbursed me for any credit or coupon that I used on a product that I returned.  I could exchange a product for the same one (different size or color) for the reduced price, but never got my money off back to use for a different purchase if I returned it.

@geezerette    Same here.

When I was still shopping more and buying multiple items at the same time and one of the items I wanted qualified all by itself for my coupon, I bought that item separately because once the company gives you a percentage off on each item, you never get the money back for any you return.  I think that happened to me twice before I learned my lesson.

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.   Seems to me my parents drilled that into me more than 60 years ago.  They were right then and moreso in today's much more complicated world.

BB&B sure doesn't give you back the 20% off coupon you used.

I recently ordered online for curb pick up.  Turns out that store didn't have it.

I had to reorder to pick up at another store...but I lost the coupon used on the first  try.

Had to use another one.

Of course it's fair!  If you returned the product that disqualifies you for the $60.  Many could make out by ordering a cheaper product, returning it and get the $60 with no intention to ever use that card again.  I know a few who have done things like that and brag about it.  The offer is meant to get business!

That happened to me with HSN.  I ordered sandals....they sent the wrong size.  They didn't have any in stock in my size to exchange.  I returned them and lost the $20 credit.

It seems like this is business as usual with most retailers,

Those credits are put on your QVC account not your Qcard. @Allyemily
