I received my new Q Card today and noticed that the numbers do not match my old Q card.  I dialed the Customer Service number on the back of the new card and I had over 20 minutes of sales pitches that had nothing to do with QVC.  It was terrible.  They were trying to sell me Direct TV, and one of those alert things that you wear around your neck.  It kept asking me all sorts of questions so I got made and hung up.

I then dialed the old customer service on the back of the old card and They had no clue as toy what was going on but I was told that the numbers should match which they do not.  Then I was told that it was automatically added to my account which I had checked and it was not added.  I added it and it asked me if I wanted to change cards for recently purchased items and I said "no" and deleted.  I did not want double trouble if you know what I mean.

So what is going on with the new Q cards and who do I speak with that knows what is going on.  I guess I will just keep using my old card and number until I no longer can and see what happens.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@luvsbulldogs

Synchrony Bank is reissuing all customers with a redesigned QCard with a 16 digit number account. Customers may use either account number as both refer to the same account. Customers can use either one to make purchases at the Q. No action is required as the original number is already on file with the Q.

@Beth-QVC  Like the OP, I am expecting a new card in the mail per an email I received from Synchrony Bank.  I sure am glad you posted before I received my card, or I'd have been thinking "what the heck?"  if I saw the different account numbers.   Whew!  Thank you for your quick response to the OP.    Very helpful! Having heard a lot about Synchrony Bank, this situation has the potential for being a messy disaster.

Gosh, @Kachina624, I've never known such a "glass half empty" kind of person.   Be positive for a change!  From Beth's post it sounds like things will be fine.  Why consistently take the most negative tack on something?   I'm not going to anticipate any problems with the card and hopefully none will occur.

I'm glad to read that it's fine if the account numbers are different - so far no issues then.

I guess time will tell, won't it @Pearlee?  I will say I had an account there with an Evine card for about 3 months until I destroyed the card.  During that time I was never able to access my own account or see the charges.  Other's stories abound.

I have a Synchrony Bank Care Credit card which allows extended payment terms with no interest at Dentists, Vets and Doctors.  I have had it for 8 years and used it at my vets and at my dentist and cosmetic surgeons.  I have sometimes had simultaneous balances running from two service providers.  I have never in 8 years had a problem or had any need to even speak to them.  the no interest financing allows me to spread the payments out and as long as the balance is paid in full by the end of the extended payment term you pay no finance charges.  I have never paid them one cent in interest.

Be aware of the Q Card. The interest rate is over 24% for everyone. QVC pushes it but does nothing to try and lower the rate so we don't get stuck with this ridiculous rate. What is the use of purchasing a Today's Special Value or an item on special when we have to pay such a high interest hate. I have good credit so they can't blame it on that. Most of us can't pay the whole amount every month. I will pay off my card and then cut it up. I will not buy anything again on QVC until I get rid of this card.
