As @Mz iMac @ stated, you should definitely update your iPad.  Sometimes updates make certain websites incompatible for many different reasons.  I update my iPhone and iPad as soon as the update is available and have had no issues.  
I'm aware that in the past some people were hesitant to update when the updates first came out, but as far as I know, there have been no issues with updates in years.
