How long does it take??

Why does it take so very long for a refund to   credit back to original method of payment?  Return received, four days later refund processed then customer service states another 7-10 days for refund to post   FYI refund was necessary due to fact item not available for size exchange. Did not take this long to process order & charge my card!!

@ceejay43I don't know the answer -  haven't needed to make a recent return.

 

I do know from past experience that part of the number of days depends upon your credit card company - one of my cards refunds faster than another.

 

I don't really care though -  in all the years I've charged and returned, I've never once in my memory had a returned item end up being on my card by my statement time -  I do keep both of the cards I use anywhere up to date so I'm not paying interest.  (I never use debit online for any company; I'm still waiting for the financial gurus to change their recommendations on them!)
