Delivery problem

Back on November 23, I ordered a necklace.  After that, the order just sat there saying in process.  Everyday.  Meanwhile I ordered other items long after this one  and i received. Today I called about it.  They said they sent me al letter about it.saying they are having difficulty in shipping it  out.  And that I would be notified if it will be on backorder or will be canceled.  This is the second time this has happened.  Another order (ordered about the same time) became the identical situation.  That one just says back order.  This is not a Christmas order but a birthday order.  Just very frustrating.

Sounds like a VENDOR problem, not a delivery problem.

 

I have ordered a fair number of items since October from QVC, and I have received everything promptly.

 

Maybe they ran out of stock of your item, and the vendor cannot make or get any more. If it is a precious metal, maybe the price increased and the cost is being renegotiated between the vendor and QVC.

 

My advice is buy something else for the birthday, and if you ever get the item, use it for next year's birthday. 

 

Jewelry is always a luxury, never a necessity, and the good thing is, there is always a new piece of jewelry that will attract you!

@songbird.  The necklace was probably supposed to be shipped by a manufacturer but has never arrived at the warehouse.

@songbird  Just out of curiosity what necklace did you order? Maybe other customers are experiencing the same situation..

@elated @Kachina624 @FancyPhillyshopper  It does sound like either not enough or no shipment was sent to QVC.  I had purchased the matching bracelet and that too took a long time. But I did get it.  That was for myself.  I've been told earlier not to mention the specific item.  I looked today and nothing has changed.  I already decided on the gift to my sister.  I don't celebrate Christmas, so that's not a problem.  Most probably it will end up like that other one.  On waitelist  I had originally purchased it the day it was shown.

The status of my item finally said shipped on Dec. 1st. I want to thank you for trying to get the record straight and shipping the item. Much appreciated.

Wow, that's a real drag.  I would just cancel the order.  I think OP may be right.  It's probably the manufacturer.  Hope it gets resolved soon.
