Charging 6.95 months after you return item

Over 30 years I have ordered a lot of items.  Today I noticed a $6.95 fee on my c card for using the label return.  I returned the item in February..... come on people it's August.  Since I order a lot of clothes, I have notebooks of what I return and how.  Clothes I wait till have several items and return UPS.  Defective items I use their label.  So for the two recent items I was charged 6.95 I didn't even use their label.  So frustrating.

after 15 days if they haven't  refunded something you've returned you can call and they should refund.

if you use their label and after you can tell it's in route they will refund your money.

My last frustration is they charge when your item ships( coming from the west coast can take a while) and then it takes at least 2 weeks to be refunded.  So your money can be tied up for 3 to 4 weeks.

Thats why I use ezpay until I am sure I'm keeping the item.  If I do I pay off.  If I return I have only tied up 1 payment.

Reviewing my cc card I see 3 - $6.95 QVC return fee charges from items returned as defective (shoes that were too wide even though ordered medium width).  These were returned in early June using ezreturns process now the return fees are charged.  I will be contacting CS defective items should not be charged let alone 2 months later🤬

So glad I barely order from QVC unless it's really a good buy.

QVC is slowly losing my business.

@homedecor1 just out of curiosity, in your experience will QVC actually accept shoes as defective because they ran wide?

It no longer has to take 2 wks or longer to get your refund.

Use the EZ RETURNS system as described on the web page and you will receive your credit in 2-3 DAYS!!!

No one should be just sending and item back without contact to the EZ return dept, it will take forever to get your refund.

Charging the $6.95 label fee in error has been a LONG standing problem with the returns dept.

Just contact the mods or call CS for a refund of it.

These specific shoes from Earth Origins were so wide and length off I called CS.

Literally was walking out of them & tripping although I ordered 10M these were more like 11W🤷‍♀️

Plus, they did not have option to adjust straps.  CS told me to mark "defective" although obviously return section ignored that🤬

I had the same experience today. I got a notification from my credit card, telling me a 6.95 charge from QVC was authorized on my account. Couldn't figure out what it was until I put two and two together. The only charge on that card was for a Philosophy shower gel that triggered an asthma attack and was returned in early July as defective. The Easy Return team handled the return process quickly and kindly and said they would pass on the feedback to the corporate office. A few days later, someone from the corporate office kindly called me to check on me and told me to return it if I hadn't already. So everyone on the Q's end from customer care to easy returns to corporate are doing a fantastic job. That said, there must be disconnect on the return center end, when items marked defective are nevertheless charged the return fee anyway.

When you return something you lose $10 to $12.  It's simple.  It is what it is.

Re: Charging 6.95 months after you return item

This has happened to me many months ago.  When I return something, I do not use their return label.  I pay the PO up front and track it.

Twice I've been charged weeks later for them saying I used their return label which I did not.  I emailed the social team and they took care of it; however, it took a good 7 days to see both of the 6.95 credits on my card.

So far, HSN, I have not had a problem, knock on wood.  I also find their CS people much easier to talk to and more helpful.

This year, I've only purchased 2 items from Q, which I knew I wouldn't have to return.  They sure aren't what they used to be many years ago IMO.

Re: Charging 6.95 months after you return item

Yes, everyone, PLEASE CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD STATEMENTS!! This happened to me recently. I returned two things recently-one order in May, and one order in July. Fortunately, I used Paypal to pay for these items. I got a notification that I was charged $6.95 from QVC. This looked very much like a return-fee charge. I did not use QVC's labels. I e-mailed the social team, but I had to wait until the charge officially hit my card. After a few days, the charge hit my card, and I e-mailed the social team back. They took the charge off my card.

The social team is great, by the way. However, this is such a hassle. It turned out that the $6.95 charge was for May's return AND I was being charged this fee in July! I wouldn't find this until I got my credit card statement if it wasn't for Paypal notifying me every time my credit card is charged. I wonder how many people don't pay attention to charges on their statement? This is not acceptable. They need to overhaul the system or something.
