This has happened to me a couple of  times recently.  I just cancel my order,

I ordered recent Ryka shoes TSV early in the day and they sold most of day but mine went to backorder.  I cancelled the order.  Other items have been ordered and in stock and then went to waitlist cancelled those as well.

This has happened to me a few times too.  It's not the way to do business.

This has happened before with other items.  I cancel my order as I don't have time to deal with this type of thing.

This just happened to me too on an order I placed on 2/22. Order was in "preparing your order" status for about a week, then a few days ago I saw it changed to backorder and this morning I got an email saying from customer service saying the order is delayed. I have two other items I ordered this week that have gone to the "preparing your order" status and I'm concerned that they too will end up as backorders .
