I tried to cancel an expensive order within 12 HOURS of placing it. There should be a mechanism for doing this that is no-hassle for customers. Now I will be receiving the order "from the vendor" and will have to (1) pay to return it and (2) pay for insurance on the pakage. ALL BECAUSE QVC IS NO LONGER CUSTOMER FRIENDLY.
Between all the "extended delivery" orders, the orders randomly cancelled, and now, the one that COULD NOT be cancelled, sorry, I am done.

No you are not. In a few weeks you will order something else. Altho,I do think sales are down.

I would think that after shopping with the Q for 40+ years you would be aware how cancellations work. There is a short window when items placed can be cancelled, certainly not 12 hours.

40 years/4 posts. Sorry we didn't get to know you better.

So QVC's cancellation policy was unknown to you? I've only cancelled once in thirty years and it worked. Probably because it was a CIJ item that wasn't supposed to ship until Dec.

This is on you, not Q.
After 40 years, one would think you'd know how Q works. I don't know of any retailer that gives more than minutes, if even that, to cancel.

Oh for goodness sakes, here we go again. Another I'm quitting QVC post!!

Just a bit of history. QVC had a 48-hour window. If she has been shopping for 40 years, she probably does remember that period when Diamonique was the top product line, and QVC was smaller. Might be nice if you and your friends weren't so judgemental.

Exactly right...it used to be much longer. In the not so distant past, I've cancelled things the next day, sometimes a little longer than that. It's been shorter lately, I do know that, but less than 12 hours is really short. Shorter than other vendors I shop with...and some of those explain how long you have, which is helpful.
This can all be frustrating, so I understand OP's frustration....it's a pain not to catch it, and have to go through the return process. @DCee_at_QVC Sometimes if you ask, and say you tried to cancel right away etc...they'll either try to catch it from the vendor (seldom gets caught, in my experience) or credit you the return fee.
Also frustrating and confounding is why returns are taking weeks to process?! I shop online with many other vendors...returns take anywhere from immediately (before they even recieve the return package!), to a day or two at the most! QVC's delayed return processing is just unacceptable. I don't get why they are the only ones that take this long.

You can refuse the package.
