OMG, so true ! What Christmas doesn't go by without thoughts of Aunt Bertie in the recipe forum looking for her scallopped potatoes!

@Snowpuppy thank you for remembering Aunt Bertie and her delicious potatoes. She was a very special lady. I still miss her and think of her often. I also think about her beautiful granddaughter, who was a baby at the time of her passing.

I've been here since July 2001, a few months before the terror attacks. In all my memories of this board, I can honestly say I've never seen such love, kindness and concern as I did at that time.  We all bonded in a way I'd never seen before and have never seen again. It was quite a time.

hey everyone,..thanks again for the replies,....I have been gone quite a while,...I think when everything changed it wasn't fun any more.....and even when I try to watch programming, it's just so hum drum,....it used to be fun, just to watch....I hardly ever do now....just can't get into it......

.....and when we followed the arias trial, MickD 😃..that was interesting to follow it with all of you.......and I would always double post, not intentionally of course....and we had the rowdy ones and the more serious ones.....and Marianne, is she still here?

i have a question, when I click on post (reply) to reply it doesn't post my reply on that post ...so what am I doing wrong....I think I was on a lap top the last time I posted,  back in the day,..maybe I will go back to that and it will be easier......

Has anyone heard from ribbons and rainbows, happy housewife, or just a,... or thunder kitty, purple bunny? .anyone remember them? ......

enough reminiscing......I hope all of you post some more....I love when I figure out how to get back here to read them,lol...

Hi, @Jannabelle!  I'm still here.  I've been posting since 2010 with the same nickname.   Great to see you!

If you want to find your last posts, just sign in and then click on your name at the upper right of the page.  (Or click on your name on any of your posts, within a thread.)   That takes you to what used to be called "My Activity."

@Preds answered your questions about replies and quotes, but I wanted to add to find other posters, you can:

1.   Type their nickname in the search box at the top of the page.  (A list of "suggestions" will pop up, but ignore those or click "turn off suggestions" st the bottom of the list.  Those are thread suggestions rather than users.)

2.   Click the word "Community" to the right of the search box, and choose "Users."  That makes the system search for user names instead of threads.

3.   Click the red box "GO" and you'll get one or more nicknames matching your search.

4.   Click on the name of the user, and you'll see their posts.

I'm from the old Shop Talk days and I still feel invisible.   I do know I am bad with names myself and sometimes can't remember who is who.  I do think the little avatars help a lot.

I also think some were forced to change their name a few different time periods.  I have been lucky and I've kept my original name.

Re: where are the old timers?

Wecome back, Janabelle!  I've been around since the later 1990s, just after Shop Talk, though.

Except for a capital B I had to assume when I discontinued my QVC account and then resumed it 18 months later (I was disgusted in 2005 by what went on in some of the Katrina posts, which were not moderated in a professional manner) I have the same posting name.

Mima, you're not invisible to me! I always read your posts.

@Jannabelle, The Q Forum has gone through a few changes, several times over the years - some don't like it, so they don't return.  I don't like all of the changes, but I still hang out and "lurk and sometimes make a comment or two"  A few years back (I was living  back in the city in So. Cal. - around 1995 or 1998, before I moved back in the rural area or maybe earlier, I think) I would "lurk and rarely post", on the Q Forum ... with exception of the 'Games'.  I would get off of work and attend a college class or two and come home late with tons of assignments - naturally, due for the next class.  Sometimes, while trying to study I would log on the Q Forums and play a game and then get back to finish my assignment & get ready for the next day - up at 5am.  There would be games like: animals A - Z, or medical terminology A - Z, etc. If my memory serves me correctly, some of the players were: halfpint, chicken butt and maybe even happydaze .... but then again I could be mistaken ... I'm old and I do that alot.

editted to add: mzlg was my nickname then & now

@mzlg, The "Gamers" threads are still here and going strong!  Because of the design of the new forums, the game threads are only available and visible if the moderators know you want them (otherwise, when lots of posts were being added, they were filling up the "main" page of Forums).

If you want to be added, just make a request on the Q Social Team's thread:

"GAMERS you have a new home!" (link goes to http://community.qvc.com/t5/Community-Chat/GAMERS-you-have-a-new-home/m-p/1867922#M638919).

Regarding the posters you mentioned, @HappyDaze, @halfpint1, and @chickenbutt are still posting here.

I have been around since the boards started - well a few months shy of that. Many have left - unfortunately way too many have gone to a better home. Many, as stated, just did not like all the changes - well I don't either. The changes through the years have been just horrible - in my opinion that is, but I seem to have been in the majority on that one. Same with the boards from the channel down South - it use to be super good and has turned into absolutely nothing. I keep going back but rarely post there - no one around.

Winifred--just think, people who were 60 when we started are now in their 80's, and many no longer with us on this earth.  It really makes you think doesn't it???
