Re: where are the old timers?

@Jannabelle, your name seems familiar, but I can't swear to it.

Hi Jannabelle!  Long time no see.   I guess you must have been gone quite a while, as they changed the board last June.

Hope this finds you well.

Re: where are the old timers?

hey everyone,..thanks again for the replies,....I have been gone quite a while,...I think when everything changed it wasn't fun any more.....and even when I try to watch programming, it's just so hum drum,....it used to be fun, just to watch....I hardly ever do now....just can't get into it......

.....and when we followed the arias trial, MickD 😃..that was interesting to follow it with all of you.......and I would always double post, not intentionally of course....and we had the rowdy ones and the more serious ones.....and Marianne, is she still here?

i have a question, when I click on post (reply) to reply it doesn't post my reply on that post ...so what am I doing wrong....I think I was on a lap top the last time I posted,  back in the day,..maybe I will go back to that and it will be easier......

Has anyone heard from ribbons and rainbows, happy housewife, or just a,... or thunder kitty, purple bunny? .anyone remember them? ......

enough reminiscing......I hope all of you post some more....I love when I figure out how to get back here to read them,lol...

Re: where are the old timers?

Jannabelle, I'll try to answer whatever questions I can.

I haven't seen purplebunny or thunderkitty in a while. Happy Housewife has a bunch of numbers as her nic...starting with 15_______.  RRR (the rainbows nic) is Downtonabbey.

Jannabelle you can click Reply on any post and it's just a regular post.  If you want to quote, click Reply on the post you're quoting, then you have to click on Quote which is in the top right corner just outside the typing box.  (ETA You have to click Reply to quote, not Quick Reply.)

Yes, she is still here, but doesn't post often from what I can tell.

You'll get the hang of so hang in there.  Plenty of us around to help you thru it.

You have to hit the quote at the top after you hit reply.  Then it will connect the posts. Smiley Happy

Re: where are the old timers?

I don't know what's going on with purplebunny. She'll pop in once every four to six months, post like mad for a day or two, then disappear again. I think she was getting attacked on here for a while and that may have driven her off. Her life might be taking up too much time, or maybe she finds the boards too addictive, but she'll only pop in for a day every four to six months and then is gone again.

She was always a regular on the Big Brother threads, but never showed up last season. I think she did pop up on one of our weekly NFL threads this past season before a big Patriots game, but that was the last time I saw her here.

Re: where are the old timers?

I'm from the old Shop Talk days and I still feel invisible.   I do know I am bad with names myself and sometimes can't remember who is who.  I do think the little avatars help a lot.

I also think some were forced to change their name a few different time periods.  I have been lucky and I've kept my original name.

Re: where are the old timers?

@mima

You have never been invisible to me. When I see your name in the forums I frequent, I always read what you have to say and help when I can.

Like you, I have been able to keep my original name(close to it after this last change, but got original back now). You know many changed their nic for, in my opinion, to stay more anonymous.

To me your name is one that is always visible to me.
