Let me guess.  Another person using a debit card that doesn't understand pending charges and how / when they drop off.  I hope this isn't one of the debit card issues that left someone overdrawn.

They didn't take your money.  As all merchants do, they put on a temporary hold of funds until they determine the legitimacy of your credit card.   The hold drops off automatically after a few days.

I've ordered grocery delivery from Walmart for years, but with every order they do the same thing.

In this age of technology, you don't even need to know how to spell.  Spell-checker is your friend.

And there is even a grammar checker.

As someone else said, if this person is a teacher, heaven help the students.
