Let me try to explain the refund process @mad teach .

 If you used your debit card (even as a credit card) it takes longer to get your refund. The bank takes your money immediately. However, it takes at least seven business days to credit it back to your account. Saturday and Sunday do not count as business days. And some banks take more like 10 business days. And the national treasury ( whatever that is) has absolutely nothing to do with it.

 If you used a regular credit card, like MasterCard or Visa,it still may take a few days.

  I know this from my many years of working retail and having to explain it to customers.

Yup- if I had my money "stolen", I would plead my case to the QVC message boards.  Wouldn't you????

@They CallMe MRWILKES   "new" teacher as well, lol ....2 posts.  If it is QVC, it can take a while to return money, refunds, etc...eventually gets there in 2 weeks.

They didn't steal from you.

 

Yes, it is all on your bank. It's been a bank policy for at least 60 years.

 

If there were 2 charges, one will fall off your bank account when the purchase doesn't go through.

 

Every bank has their own policy as to how long it takes for a pending charge to disappear. My bank takes 1 week. Others take longer, others take less time.

@spumoni99  I'm not sure who she is speaking about. I was confused with national treasury!   She mentions them returning money before bank can give it to her.
