I cruise by all deli counters muttering yuck, but I will gobble up food samples at Costco.  Denial is not just .....

Alratiba those Supermarket rotisserie chickens are also real values. They cost $5.99 to 7.99 and stretch for days.

Bizarre thread.  I don't see what's so awful about a single feather.  It's not like the feather wasn't friend in hot oil which sterilizes.

The only grocery store I have ever had good fried chicken from was from Albertson’s in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Totally yummy, that has been a few years though last time I had it. Tender, juicy, crispy - excellent,

After having that I decided to try it at two different close by Albertson’s in Houston where I lived at the time.  NOT the same at all .... go figure ...

I don’t care for any of the chicken places anymore. Used to like  KFC, but now, no.

And, all the grocery stores around here - well frankly, their chicken sucks.

Never had any feather issues though...

Some deli's are immaculate in their cleanliness and food handling and some are not. I agree the raw chicken should be inspected for stray feathers and removed before they are deep fried.

LOL - pretty amazing that a feather could survive a deep fryer! Seriously, a missed plucked feather on a chicken should not require a call to the Health Department.
