"Sophie's Choice"

[ Edited ]

I recently heard a host on one of the shopping channels use the phrase "Sophie's Choice" in reference to how difficult it is to decide on a color of an item.

Hmmm... i don't like it ....I find any Holocaust reference in bad taste ...

she must have been aware of what it meant as she used it in that

context ....

Wow.  Talk about minimizing what was a horrific decision to have to make.

You have all shared my strong distaste for using such a phrase in this context.

A person who would use this phrase so thoughtlessly would probably also approve of calling Good Friday "Black Friday."

Ignorance abounds.
