I "chatted" with an AI ---entity----?????--- anyway it was thru Xfinities "live" chat----about the $50 increase on my monthly cable  bill that showed up recently----its name was Oliver--- it did not work out well and I finally got a real human that  got me what I was asking for. AI can/will  be great some day, maybe-----however--I would not presume it is a friend----

When we deal with Alexa, Siri and/or Cortana, aren't we interacting with specifically programmed AI?

Actually haven't we been dealing with numerous automated voices when trying to deal with utility bills etc. for quite a while?  I have and can honestly say none yet has produced a satisfactory solution--have always had to go to a human voice or in some instances not given a choice had to call back.  I prefer a human interaction, not a robot.

On-line chats offered by some companies I find to work well, but then isn't the company "entity" a human interacting with a human customer?  So I still find human-to-human more satisfactory.  I find the idea of an AI robot communication rather creepy!

Alexa (which I have used for my Echo system since introduced) is as far as I choose to go with artificial interaction.  I also have an iRobot vac which solves a problem for my needs, but I do not program via phone, I manage it manually.

Recently got a TracFone Samsung Galaxy A14 and hate it--trying to figure it out is overwhelming and it is too large. A smaller, less complicated phone would have served better. I despise having to use a phone to program/command things, would rather program on my computer but most apps are designed for phones.
