Hi going on vacation in one month and although I will never be a beauty queen would at least like to look a little more decent in a bathing suit. Any tips for a quick diet so that I could lose some unwanted pounds? Thanks Ladies

Drink 1/2 of your wt. in water every day. For example,if you weigh 150, drink 75 oz. and don't drink it at meals, but in between. Stay away from Diet Soda - it sabotages weight loss, along with your body. Last tip, become a label reader - don't eat foods with High Fructose Corn Syrup (another diet sabotaguer).

For quick 10 pound loss, go no carb. It is not something I would do long term,but, you can get fast results for a trip like you are going on. The minute you start eating carbs though, you will put it right back on.

Best thing I can tell you is go on a liquid only intake for a few days. I have done that 1 day every week just to give my GI tract a rest and I always lose 2lbs.

Now depending on how much you want to use you can always ask your doctor or a nutritionist what liquid supplement would be good and nutritious enough to use until you go on your vacation.

I know that for a month before my wife's Gastric Bypass Surgery she was on some type of Supplemental Liquid Formula to help her lose more weigh before her surgery. Don't remember the name of it, but her Bariatric Surgeon thought it had enough nutrition for her to stay on it for a month. She lost about 5lbs a week doing this.
