Agreed, all the data we enter goes to the mythical place called the CLOUD.... Then anybody from any device (one boss says that she does her best drafting from her daughter's volleyball games), any office/any state can access the files, work on them, e-file them with the various courthouses in the various cities, etc. And most of our office communication is done by IM. When our systems are down - I have nothing to do

but re-organize my Rolodex

My DS is 28 and when he applies for jobs he'll adapt his resume to suit the job descirption. As far as older workers being more reliable, I do tend to agree with you, to a point. I've worked with many young people and I think they are very reliable but they tend to change jobs quite a bit due to the fact that they want to make more money, get a better job, so they don't tend to stay very long in one place, so they might appear not to be reliable. When my DH was starting out in his career, in 1976, he did the same thing. In 1999 after working hard and changing jobs several times he finally landed his "dream job" and he'll be there until he retires in a few years. I've changed jobs for different reasons, got married, left the state, had a baby, stayed home for a period of time. I'm semi-retired now and I have a wonderful job that's flexible and part time. I've been here 5 years and will probably work a couple of more years.

Hi Hayfield-just wondering what kind of job you have? I'm going back to work after being home with my daughter for years. Just was curious-

daisky--I work as a tour guide! I work two days a week and every other weekend. It's a fun part time job and they are really flexible with giving you time off!

These tips seem a bit odd to me, as they seem to miss the obvious: I can immediately tell someone's age by their years of experience and/or year of college graduation (in my business, you're not even considered without a degree). Similarly, we expect a chronological detailing of one's experience. That tells me much more about a candidate's age than two spaces after a period or including their home address.
