@sparklestar, When you start a thread you have to know others are going to post on it too. Some will agree with you, some won't. We just have to learn to get over it. I enjoy reading the different opinions as long as they don't become personal attacks on each other.
I've been posting her a while so I know how it works. I don't care either way who agrees or not. I was just thanking the moderators ... not asking for opinions. I don't take it personal. What I don't like is when things go in the opposite direction intended. So be it. As long as they know I appreciate them. Have lovely day.
If I sounded snarky it wasn't my intention. You just seemed upset that the post had taken a different direction than you hoped it would and I was just saying that's the way it usually goes. Thanks for the good wish and I wish you the same.

You don't care either way, and you know how it goes, yet you don't like it when things go in the opposite direction INTENDED.
Which is it? You don't care, or you don't like it? If you know how it goes, you KNOW you will get other peoples' opinions whether you like them, or want them, or not, because that's what happens on discussion forums; it's what discussion forums are FOR. Starting multiple threads on the same topic because you didn't "like" the responses in the first thread demonstrates how much you DO care, and also demonstrates a desire to control responses to "your" thread.
OP I'm not addressing you specifically, there are a handful of other posters who invariably take "ownership" of threads they start, and deride any post, or poster, who disagrees with them or says anything counter to the way they want "their" thread to go, while having been here long enough to know *exactly* how it will "go." As others have said, some posters pot-stir by starting a thread *hoping* others will disagree with them and they can then call out "people being mean" to them. Happens almost daily.
The moderators saw your first thread. They can see this one, if they choose to. The opinions others give do not "cancel out" your original message, or create a need for multiple threads. Your thread isn't diluted, or devalued, as you seem to believe. The moderators are bright people. They heard you the first time. So did everyone else.
Have a great day.
