This post has been removed by QVC because it's argumentative.

I think the moderators overdo it. I personally do not enjoy reading a thread and find "removed because unkind" or other such. I can understand they don't want you advertising for competitors on this forum but those seem to stay. I think there is a small group who are constantly clicking the "inappropriate" button and trying the control the forum and they are doing a good job of having their way.

The moderators are inconsistent. There are posters who are what I call "snipers" whose clear objective is to hurt and/or insult. I'm surprised at all the insults that are left standing.

This positive message was sent out to the moderators. Buf, of course, you can't say something positive around here. What a disappointment.

II think it is more like, not everybody agrees with your idea of "positive".. It's not that people don't appreciate that the moderators work hard....

I really do believe that they do their best. They have their rules to follow but I doubt that they are able to read every single post.
Any reference to the insensitivity of some thread titles that I made (I cannot speak for anybody else, as that w/b wrong) was just per the basic internet etiquette that so many have observed over the years. It's not an attack on anybody, but I always do appreciate when some people are thoughtful of others. Nothing wrong with posting stories, and anybody can choose to read or not read. But when the thread title says something awful, it's hard to ignore.
That's all that is about.
I think some might not understand so here's an example - what if somebody started a thread with the thread title 'Man goes to maternity ward and cuts the heads off all the babies'. Wouldn't that upset some? Sure, it would upset most to varying degrees. That's why one might put the subject, sans the horrific details in the thread title with some kind of wording after it to the effect that the story includes sensitive (or whatever) material.
Those who wouldn't want to read the thread, due to a sensitive subject, have already been hit upside the head with the details when it's all in the thread title. I can understand getting upset by seeing it. It's just basic manners, IMO. I also get that one needs to have thick skin, too, though. All I ever tried to spread with this sort of thing was basic common courtesy towards others. Just because something might not hurt me, it still could hurt others. If you know that you wouldn't want to read the story, you can not open the thread. Most of what is horribly upsetting to most of us is where either children, or other peeps, or animals are hurt/killed/etc, including cruelty. We all know things happen but might be to affected by hearing the awful details when just skimming a forum through the thread titles. That's all.

You can say anything you like within forum rules. That doesn't mean others can't/won't do the same, and they may not agree with you. Reading things one dorsn't appreciate is part and parcel of ANY forum.

Thanks CB, seems you are one of the few who got the point about thread titles. Geesh, does anyone actually read the post, or the meat of it anyway...before responding? This is what irks me. I totally agree with you about thread titles. There are many subjects I avoid, some are animal, and human abuse or neglect. That is not to say I am not educated about it. Not that animal/human abuse shouldn't be discussed here. if someone wants to engage in these conversations, offer advice, education, opinion , go for it. But , that doesn't mean the title has to go into explicit details. That offends me. Because when you go to the forums, you see that thread title everyday, all day sometimes for years!! You can't help but see it. That is the objection for me, the TITLE, not so much the content

Just remember that whenever you start a thread here, there will always be someone that will disagree with the message. Please don't let it stop you from expressing yourself. It's nice to read a positive message....
I think the mods here do their best to try and keep this place where we can post with a reasonable amount of harmony. Do I disagree sometimes and that the moderation can be a bit heavy handed? Sometimes but at least it's a lot more peaceful this way.
Nice thread....

@SharkE wrote:What I hate is those who go crying to the mods because something said 'offends ' their little sensitivities and mods say removed because some posters find it rude. Well , tough...........
I think you need to keep this in mind because you've cried foul several times overs posts you didn't like.
