When an "open" blog is offered, people vent...not all comments are to everyone's standards and liking...I try to ignore the comments I don't care for, and ❤️ the ones I do.

Protect us ? From what? Other people's opinions? I'm a 56 year old grown woman, I don't need protection from the written word. I know what to read and what not to read. If I don't like something, I stop reading and move on to something else.

This isn't a blog, though. This is a board. So they can delete whatever suits them, I suppose.
I don't know what this particular thread is about but I can only imagine.
I agree that some seem to revel in the shock value of putting some horrific story details in a thread title - well, just as long as it isn't something that bothers them.

I think the whole point of a board like this is to express opinions and communicate with each other. We are supposed to follow board rules but we don't have to limit ourselves to subjects that every single person on the board will find sweet and pleasant. How boring would that be? Posters should never censor themselves. I don't care for "spoiler" or "sensitive" in the heading. You only need to read a sentence or two of any post to get the gist of it. Don't like what you read, stop. If there are readers out there who are delicate by nature and cannot tolerate discussion that isn't about jelly beans and angel wings and puppy dog kisses, then they shouldn't be on this board. It might upset them too much....lol Or perhaps they should only read things in Jewelry or Holiday where they will feel safe.

Oh give me a break. This is shopping channel, not Jerry springer. Even when They present the news on tv they warn if something might be too much for some viewers.

I still stand by my post. Simply thanking the moderators for doing their job. I appreciate them. It's too bad understanding is so limited.

I don't need the moderators to 'protect' me, lol.
