Most people who buy the wonderful new memory foam mattresses get rid of their old mattress and keep the box spring to use with the new one.  Perfectly satisfactory.

In this era of "social distancing", I have noticed that in commercials for beds, (Mattress Firm) that they say that they will drop off your bed.

It use to be "white glove delivery", where they would remove your old bed, and set up your new one.

My question is, if they are only dropping off the mattress at your front door, (A) how are you supposed to get a heavy mattress inside your home, and (B) what the heck are you supposed to do with the old one?

So, before buying any bed, I would check to see what their delivery service includes.

3 years ago, I went to a local mattress store to buy a new Queen-size mattress. It's around 11" high - and the boxspring was tall. I'm only 4'10" - so the salesman ordered a special boxspring for me which is 5" tall --- perfect!!!!! 

When I get into bed, I put my butt on the mattress and swing my legs over. 

Simmons Beautyrest - is the mattress I purchased and love.

I always check Yelp for local mattress stores and read their reviews and ask for the manager or sales-person that most people recommend.

This was the 8th mattress I purchased from this store over 19 yrs. 

I have a 4 bedroom house.

I've always been satisfied.

When u read mattress reviews - there are, literally, thousands of people who bought the wrong mattress or the mattress is so uncomfortable, they're miserable.

The mattress business is now owned by hedge-funds --- and they only care about making money. Most of the warranties are useless.
