Cosmetics! Good lawd! I've been thinning out and I still have tons " just in case".

Battery operated massagers.  I am obsessed with getting massages, and I have loads of these in all shapes and sizes.  They are stuffed into drawers, closets, and the trunk of my car.  I started to try to get rid of them, but no one seems to want them. I went into my office early one morning, and put one on each of my coworkers chairs, because I thought they would appreciate it.  They didn't seem too happy about it.  I noticed my mail carrier's sciatica was acting up, so I grabbed a big one and ran down the sidewalk to give it to her.  You could swear I was waving around a gun.  She got so scared that she jumped into her mail truck screaming and took off.  I might just box them all up and drop them off at the local convent.  I imagine those nuns' beds aren't too comfortable, and they could use them to loosen up a bit.

@Moonchilde- I'm a tote/shopper bag person also.  I just made myself donate 4 last week.  I hadn't been using them so it was time for them to go. But..... I recently bought 3 others that I've already gotten alot of use out of.

I'm happy to report that I indeed did "thin the herd" yesterday and am donating several pairs of socks, nightgowns and a few purses and several dishtowels.  Also gathered up some other things to donate.  I keep a shopping bag open in our office all the time and just drop things in there and when the bag is full, off they go!

I'm not really a dishtowel person- I'm fine with just a few.  More than fine.  But people give them to me as gifts for Christmas.  

Overall, I'm a world class purger and am constantly weeding things out that we don't need anymore.  Our house is in really good shape.  Having just cleaned out and sold my parent's house, which also really wasn't too bad, I just don't want all this STUFF anymore.  Can't stand it.  I donate all the time.

I still have too many purses.  Purses are my things.  I've been given several throws for gifts that are really nice so I'm holding on to those.  I also just bought 4 Amish throw sized quilts on a recent trip to PA that I love, so that's it for me on the throws.

I have too many watches and too many bottles of lotion.  I keep a regular, unscented lotion on my dresser and several bottles of different scents.  Watches are just my thing.  And even having admitted that I have too many, I know I will be getting another one for Christmas this year from my mom.

Somebody else mentioned coats/jackets, which reminded me of my collection.   Some years ago (quite a few!), I went on a tear with jackets and coats.   I have a whole closet full.  Even after all these years, since I have so many, most of them are in brand new condition.

@momtochloe, I just laughed out loud at this.  I too use the grocery bags to line trash cans and know which store's bag to use according to size.  Are we pitiful or just really smart?  I'll go with the latter.
