jill bauer is retiring?

did i hear that correctly?

i heard as of june 12th.

she will be missed.......

 

i guess this is why they hired so many new hosts.

she has the announcement on her facebook page.

 

she did say she would be creating a new fb account and instagram page.

 

25 years at qvc! wishing you good luck during your "second act."

Yes.  I will miss Jill but of course wish her well.  She sounds very peaceful over it.

Oh I will miss Jill.I am sad to hear that she is leaving.I have the feeling Mary Beth will be leaving sometime soon too.I loved the older hosts most likely as I watched more back then.

I hate to say but I think over the next year, several other longtime (i.e older) show hosts will be leaving "to spend time with my family".  QVC is passing the baton to the next generation.  They have to put younger faces on air if they want to attract a younger, as in 30's and 40's, customer.

I know exactly what Jill is saying.  There doesn't have to be anything drastic or bombastic, it's just a knowing when it's time.  I had the same feeling at 55 and retired in March of last year.  Never looked back, no regret - it was time and the right decision.  I'm excited for her.
