Re: how do you feel about being called a "fan"

I would say I am a fan of David and Mary and their kitchen shows.

Have no idea who "gary" might be, but I am not a fan of anyone I have seen on any shopping network. I will save my being called a fan of only my New York Rangers NHL Hockey Team.

"Fan" is quite acceptable to me. I prefer it to adding "ladies" after the brand.

But I never, ever want to be called something cutesy in which the name of the brand is a part of the expression, like "Mallynistas."

I would  describe myself as a fan.  Perhaps Gary is trying to use synonyms to avoid using the same boring words over and over.  Wish others would do the same.  I get sick of hearing "cute" over and over.

"Fan" doesn't bother me in the least.  If I like something, I would consider myself a fan of whatever it is I like.  I'm also a "fan" of Gary's....didn't care for him much in the beginning but now I find him very down-to-earth, funny and knowledgable!  I guess he just had to grow on me!  And I love him and Carolyn Gracie together!

Re: how do you feel about being called a "fan"

In my mind, QVC fans are those women who watch QVC but never or rarely ever purchase anything.  The ones who love certain vendors or hosts but....never or rarely ever buy anything.  It's entertainment for them so they are fans.  I am the opposite.  I don't mind being called a fan but I'm customer.
