Hi Goldens!  For whatever it's worth - I saw your thread when you first posted, but got called away by the laundry, and I don't think you deserved the grief you got.

I don't know what else happened to take the whole thing down, as I was away from the computer for a while, but you know me - I call 'em like I see 'em.  Smiley Happy

Hi, chickie!   Maybe she had more than one thread taken down, but the one I saw was a mention of a hot-button political website.   Not something the moderators would look at with glee.   Especially after all the threads that were closed or removed in the recent day or so.

Sad times.

Hey dooB!

That was what I saw and I felt like she was being sincere.  Sure, politics are verboten here but I didn't feel like the thread, in and of itself, was egregious.

No doubt, knowing the players, it would lead somewhere bad.  But I just felt like the grief somebody gave her was uncalled for.  Smiley Happy

Hope this finds you happy and well!  Heart

In this day and age, since we're already on a computer (tablet, phone... ) it's easier to plug the question into a search engine than to come here and ask...  again, since all of us are aware of the "climate" these days.  I don't want to get detailed or we'll be restarting the closed thread.   I've already seen some very sad interactions among posters that might cause lingering bad feelings (or even some bannings), just because of some of these topics.  Just my opinion, but not a good idea to fan the flames here right now.

It would be such a gift if all of us could try to find common ground and see that we're all on the same side.

Thanks for the good wishes...  actually I'm still feeling extremely sad and discouraged today and wish I could say otherwise.   I do hope all is well with you.❤️

I sure do agree with you about 'common ground'.  This extreme 'us vs them' mentality that I see so much of, and seemingly more and more, is really frustrating and discouraging.

Hey Goldens!  Well, and another thing is that there are certain things that no way would I want to 'Google'.    I've seen mention of different things, and when I saw the name of that site you posted, that I would not EVEN want to search on any of my computers.  Smiley Happy
