Snappy an Issy, so good too chat..YES I buy a lot of items as you snappy, as right at that moment.. an then I wonder WHY did I do that.. So glad that school will soon be out !! an then I hear YOU as work too be done at the HOME FRONT.. same here when my Hubby takes his vacation.. PAINTING to be done out / doors around the windows.. an garage doors.. yes our bunny is afraid, but I bet a lot of people an dogs an cats have been scaring him.. but at least we know he's o.k. it was in the 50's here today an sunny but cold.. I was going to open the windows an decided it was too cold.. Yes For MEMORIAL DAY !! I WON 1st. place in the Parade with My corvette as I had FLAGS on it.. but they don't have that anymore as the Veterans have Something, but No parade.. We have FLAGS All up town on the Streets.. looks Beautiful.. Yes we will be going too our Grandsons for Memorial day Cook / out.. so exciting..

Issy your Brother an sister in law our sure enjoying, an how nice.. yes we were going too re/place our out / door carpet , but too expensive, so my hubby pressure washed it, an it looks pretty good.. it sure helps too have it as we have a lot of concrete out/side that it covers.. Hi Issy, good to see you. Tomorrow is Thursday!! Bistro Day. Got out to the store for a few things. At least that keeps the battery charged. Have an appointment to see the eye doc on Friday. He's here in town. I'm slowly losing the sight in my right eye. I have amblyopia in it, so have always had poor vision, but it's changing rapidly. Don't know if he can do anything or not, but am always grateful for good vision in the left one. Impulse buying is a big problem. I must be a bit OCD. Glad your ferns are doing well. Do you have restrictions on water usage where you are? DD and I are keeping a good supply of bottled water in case we have to cut drastically. The gates do look great and we are eager to hear from the painter. It's been 2 weeks tomorrow since he was here, so I know DD will contact him if we don't hear from him. Glad your DB and SIL are enjoying NYC. Yes, we would never have met were it not for the shopping channels. It's amazing how people are brought together. In real life and on the internet. I'm not tempted by the food shows, so am not even watching. Do you like the hi/lo styles? I have a few LOGO tops, but none with pockets on the hips or thighs, and I don't layer them. Just wondered what you think. Is it a fad? There's a thread where people are talking about that and someone remembers wearing the look in the 70s.

cute, I think it's good that the bunny is afraid of people because there are some who would harm him. Oh yes, I remember you driving your Maybelline in the parades flags flying! The years go by so fast. Sometimes I get that parade mixed up with the Corvette show your town has. Our city puts flags up at this time down our main street and they are up until after Labor Day. There are also banners with the names of everyone in town who is serving in the military. We have concerts in the park during the summer, but sitting on the lawn holds no appeal for me, and I'd need 2 big guys to get me back up.

We all buy things we don't need and yes, Issy, even duplicates! I guess if we do that, we must really like it. You do good with your things. Joan benefits if nothing else, and you can make your own jewelry. Am really happy that school is almost out. DD needs some rest, and there is a lot we need to get done around here. The patio cover has to be taken down and replaced. GS might do it, but he has ADHD, and starts things but doesn't always finish them. I hope we can finish that ugly planter. I miss the bougainvillea and the mockingbirds who used to live there. Alas, those days are past.

Hello Snappy, an Yes I buy duplicates also as in dresses, an it's OOPS I already have that so I guess I sure like it !! Tony Little was on with his " CHEEKS " sandals.. I have those an love them.. you get 2 pair for the price of one.. an I love the new colors.. yes i'm very thank-full that the bunny is afraid now.. BOY !! we our sure having COLD weather an RAINY here.. but everything looks nice, an green an flowers our blooming.. we our going too our grandsons on Sunday for a Cook - out so i'm hoping for nice weather..

Hi Snappy; good to see you here. We do have water restrictions where I am, too. Cut back, no watering during certain hours and times of the day. No washing down the sidewalks, washing cars unless you have a cut off valve on your hose. Restaurants do not offer a glass of water unless you ask for it--remember when they just used to automatically set a glass of water in front of you! We have a beautiful area where I work, with 4 large water fountains throughout the property. I noticed yesterday, that the fountains have been turned off and drained. The wide median strips on the boulevard are not being watered and are beginning to turn brown. That is a shame, but some of the sprinklers used to water the street more than the grass.

As far as the high/lo styles go.......I like some of it, but it is a fad. I have several cardigan type sweaters like that. I haven't invested a lot of money into it. Girl.......I was in such a rush to get dressed yesterday--I jumped into a pair of black pants with an elastic waist, and all day, I was uncomfortable. I kept thinking "gee, these pants keep twisting up". I went to put my keys in my pocket (in the front) and couldn't. Guess what? My pants were on backwards. I could not believe it. No wonder I was uncomfortable. Leave it to me to get something backwards, ha, ha, ha.

Well, today is spaghetti day at the Bistro, but I didn't go out for lunch today. It is cloudy and kind of gray outside.

Hi Cute; glad that you could stop by. Hope that the weather is nice for the weekend. I am just looking forward to relaxing. I buy in multiples, if it is something that really works for me. For instance, a good basic black shoe, or top or perhaps a blazer. I have built up my wardrobe that way. I never have to wonder about what I am going to wear because I have classic styles, and I mix in the "fun stuff".

Hi cute, oh so glad you get to go to your grandson's house on Sunday! Are you going to ride the zip line? Sounds like the perfect place to have parties. They are special people and love you a whole lot. We love you also. Oh, I used to just stick my feet into slides, but now I need shoes that hold my feet securely. Walking is still risky business. Today I went to the ATM. Parked close to the bank, but wished for DD or someone to hold my hand so I could feel safe walking. Always ask the Lord for safety and then thank Him. Went to the bookstore and bought birthday and anniversary cards for the rest of this year. Been wanting to get that done. We have clouds right now. The possibility of rain tomorrow.

Issy, we have the same restrictions here. No median watering. Hope the trees don't die. But we used to see water running into the street also. We aren't allowed to do that in our homes. It must be sad to see that beautiful atrium looking less than stunning, but we have to face facts. I remember some years back when we had a less serious drought that we had to ask for water at the restaurant. I do recall it being routine to have it served. It was wasteful though, because a lot of people order something else to drink and the water had to be tossed.

I'm sorry, but I'm having a good laugh about you wearing your pants backwards... Haven't we all done something like that? No wonder they were so uncomfortable. You are someone who does exactly what the experts say. Invest in some classic pieces and add bits and pieces of fads...like tanks, scarves, etc. You are a professional person who has to dress conservatively, I'm sure, but we ALL know about the "bling" you and cute so love.

I have a few LOGO pieces. Am wearing one right now. NO pockets, no layers, but I like it and it's a little cool here with clouds today. Hope we get the rain they forecast for tomorrow. I know DD won't like that since it means the kids have to be in the rooms, but then she gets 3 days off.

Issy i'm Rolling on the Floor , so Funny an Girl I thought I was the only one that Pulled that TRICK !! Have You seen these NEW Tops out there ?? as looking like they our turned WRONG Side / OUT !! YIKES.. I have too do a double take an I have to check Twice too make sure where the tag is at.. as the SEAM is on the OUT / SIDE !! Yes I Mix an Match clothes .. an get the BEST out of every OUT / FIT !! I Gotta SHARE something funny that happened at the grocery store !! I was Checking Out an yes they were so Busy, when one of the CHECK-Out Ladies Came RUNNING, up to me an I thought WHAT in The world did I Do !! an LOW an Behold She said " I have got too see What YOU Our Wearing " !! an Gave me A Great BIG - HUG !! an she said WE All Just LOVE too see what YOU Our wearing as we just Know YOU will be matching your items... Hi Cute; I am not surprised that every one in the grocery store loves to see what you are wearing. People do the same thing to me. It feels good to dress up. It is just as easy to put on a nice pair of pants, a cute top and pretty shoes, as it is to schlep around in a pair of sweat pants/t-shirt and flip flops.

When I was watching Dimitri James--Skinn Cosmetics--he said that people treat you differently by the way you dress. Sad but true. You have 20 seconds to make an impression and a lifetime to undo a bad impression. He also said that when you are feeling down, take a nice bath, comb your hair, put on a little makeup and perfume (if you wear it) even if it is just a little lip gloss. It makes you feel better.

Hi Snappy; finally......your DD#2 will get a few days off. How is her toe? You have my permission to laugh at my wearing my pants backwards. That is why I told you about it!!! One time, during the winter, it was still kind of dark in my bedroom, and I had the same pair of shoes, one black pair and one navy blue pair. Guess what I did? I wore one black shoe and one navy blue shoe to work. I didn't notice my mistake until I was at work and had no choice but to walk around like that all day. Hope that you enjoy the holiday. I am just thankful to have a 3 day weekend. Probably won't get much accomplished, but I always have big plans. I told Mr. 6'2" that I was tired, and just wanted to kick back this weekend. He is fine with that. It has been hectic for him, too.

Hi cute, I see your hubby has given you back the lawn mowing chore. Makes you happy. Happy wife, happy life as they say. Hope you have wonderful weather for the cook out. Oh I do hope that little GGbaby is there and you get to hold her and just soak up all that sweetness. Times go so quickly and they grow so fast. Seeing pictures is nice, but not the same as actually holding them. Girl, I'm not at all surprised that the ladies at the store (and probably some men) love looking at what you are wearing! Makes everyone's day. Good for you. Yes, I'm grateful DD gets 3 days off now. She's going to stop at pick up our favorite turkey/bacon/avocado sandwiches tonight. I got a gift card for that restaurant for mother's day. Went to the eye doc today. He told me I look like I've "been through it". I don't feel great. Last night I chewed a tums because I felt like I might be sick to my tummy but slept 9 hours. Right now my throat is sore. He told me all the problems I have with my eyes are from them being dry. Gave me an RX for Restasis. We tried it once before, but it caused way too much tearing, running down my face all the time. Maybe it won't do that this time. Worth a try. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Issy, DD's toe has a little bump on top of it. It still hurts up her leg and even the calf, but she knows she walks differently than she did before. Hoping being home for 3 days enables her to relax more. We got a call from the painter last night. They are coming on Wednesday to start work on the outside. It will take 4 days. Am not eager to have to get up early, but looking forward to seeing the bright shiny new spiffy house. I have black and navy shoes that are alike (close to alike), and I could easily do what you did. If you hadn't said anything, maybe nobody would have even noticed. Hope you get some rest with your guy. Sometimes it's the best way to celebrate. I am grateful to all the vets out there who helped to keep us safe.

Issy I was so shocked , as I had on my Joggers an pink - Top, with pink Jacket an my Tony little " CHEEKS " On my feet.. an yes I matched, but I never really did it on purpose even.. as anyone that knows me knows I just throw on clothes an I do not do much planning an I LOVE too mix an match items. an then I put on my jewelry the same way !! I was actually in a Hurry when I went too the store so it was quite funny , but yes I wear make up an my hair is done , as I do it my / self.. I just colored it also..
