Hi Snappy. Good to see you here. I agree....Kate and Diana certainly did add to the gene pool of the royal family. I think that most of us are pleased that Diana's name was added. She is certainly a beautiful, precious baby. You know that some babies come out of the box looking like little old men!!! Hope that you can find a painter soon. I saw the homeless man--he was sitting on a bench sleeping. Guess that he is okay.

Hi Mrs. Cute; have you found any treasures lately? Actually, the "treasures" have been coming right up to your front door via HSN! AW, you saw baby bunny. Wonder where the rest of his family is? I did see the Kentucky Derby, too. Love the hats. The Kentucky Derby is usually the only horse race that I watch. My brother and SIL wanted us to come out to their house Saturday and watch the big fight. They had a little get together. I opted out. From what I understand from some of the other people that went out to their house, that it was a nice little party.

Hi MsLomo; hope that and your DH are doing okay. Hello Delaney; has your beautiful dress arrived yet? Hi Waja and our little princess, Gracie. Hi Lurky, Selah, Rowan, Bathina, Danky, QAnu, and AgnesAnn. Have a great day, ladies.

cute, I can well imagine your interest in the fashions at the Derby. You and Issy. I never watch horse racing except for the Derby and then Belmont hoping for a triple crown winner someday soon. Otherwise, I don't care. They are beautiful animals.

Today I called the painters who have worked inside here for years and they do all we need done on the outside. They are coming on Thursday at 5 to talk with DD. Hope she can be here then. Open House is next week, so she is really busy. Our friend is coming to cut our hair today at 5:30. I'm interested in that TSV, but where would I put it? Also saw some darling out door things from Plough and Hearth. Have their big spinner from last year. It's doing it's thing out back. Glad the baby bunny is now a grown up and has lost his winter coat. Good to see you.

Issy, so glad you saw the homeless man. He sort of belongs to all of us, and I'm happy he's okay. Do you do much outdoor decorating at your place? Like the solar lights and the garden sculptures? The sheep are darling, but if I put them on the lawn, the gardeners would have to move them all the time. And we are spending money on fixing up the house.

Sounds like you missed a nice Derby party, but sometimes we have to say no. Our family is having lunch at DS and DDILs place after church on Sunday. She and I are the only moms in the family. They have been fixing up their place themselves. They found awful termite damage when they took down some wall paper.

Hi cute, oh boy, you got to go for a spin in Maybelline! It's warmer where you are than here. They say we might get some rain today or tomorrow. Lots of dark clouds. Wore a light weight jacket when I went to the store. We are so glad that someone is coming tomorrow to talk with DD about the painting. We have had them work here several times inside, and they were on time and did good work, so we think the Lord spared us from some trouble with that other person.

Glad the bunny is around. I imagine he would look skinny without all that warm winter fur. He'll be eating your clover and getting bigger in no time. Are your new plants doing well? Did the men come to measure for your indoor/outdoor carpeting? It's nice to get the place all spruced up. Are you doing anything special for mothers day? We are all going to DS and DDIL for lunch after church. Got her a card today, and might take flowers.

Hi Snappy; so glad that you have found reliable people to do the painting. I agree.......I didn't have much faith in those other guys. Went over to the Bistro for spaghetti, and it was delicious. It is cloudy outside, and on the way back to the office, it sprinkled a little.

You ask if I do much decorating outside--I have the solar lights all around but I don't have any little sculptures, etc. I have a two-tiered patio that has beautiful outdoor furniture and a fire pit (which I don't use very much), plus a fancy barbeque grill. There are fruit trees--apple, plumb and loquat. The backyard also has a huge fuchsia bush (purple and pink) ivy, geraniums, ferns, jade plant, white roses, yellow daisies and an elephant ear plant. There are blackberry vines along the back fence, which I have to really keep cut back.

How is your dear daughter's toe? I know that she is really looking forward to the weekend. Hope that she can get some rest. Happy Mothers Day, sweet Snappy.

Hi Cute; good to see you here. Glad that you were able to cut the grass. Maybe your DH will let you have your old job back. So sweet that you saw the baby bunny. I don't know anything about animals losing their winter coats, etc. Snappy and I are city girls. Hope that you have a wonderful Mothers Day.

Hi MsLomo.....I have picked up some wonderful jewelry bargains from HSN. Plus, they are having a 2 day beauty event. I saw part of it, but I am not buying anything. Hope that you are well.

Hi Delaney; so happy that the dress fits well and that the blue shoes match. You are going to look so beautiful in that dress. I loved it.

Hello Waja; I will give our Princess Gracie fashion/beauty tips any time. Hi QAnu, AgnesAnn, Selah, Rowan, Lurky and all of the wonderful ladies of the Q.

Stopping in to say hello to all you wonderful ladies! Just love reading your upbeat posts and keeping up with your busy lives. Though you put me to shame! {#emotions_dlg.laugh}

Is that a very large yard you mow yourself in a day's time, cute? Thinking that alone would do me in with a push mower. Great exercise, though! Hope your carpet soon arrives. I bought one of those outdoor area rugs from here last year for the covered patio. It's held up nicely and gives a splash of color back there.

Issy, I wish blackberries grew here ... I know what you mean---you must control their ravenous spread, but I miss picking and eating them. We had then growing wild back in N.C. where I'm originally from. Just too cold up here for too much of the year. Your outdoor spaces there sound just beautiful! Your very own fruit trees ... heavenly! I'll get out of this arctic zone one day. Until then, I can walk through others' gardens and orchards in my mind. Thanks for sharing!

Snappy, I left your friend Phluphy a message on KS. Hope I didn't frighten her with too many details! You're a good and faithful friend to all and we love you!

cute, your family is big and it is hard to get together, but I'm sure you will be getting lots of phone calls on Sunday. You are a terrific mom and grandma, etc. and they all know it. Glad you got your mowing job back. One city out here has limited watering to 2 days a week for 10 minutes, and yesterday they were talking about how we may all have to just let our lawns die. The water shortage is that bad. I would try to keep my potted plants alive by using ice cubes and left over water from when we get a drink. Would hate to lose the apricot tree that hubby planted so long ago. Glad your Q flowers are doing well and that you can get out in the Corvette and enjoy the sunshine. So happy for you.

Issy, the painter is due here at 5. Hope DD can get home by then. She's so busy getting ready for Open House. She should work there over the weekend, but can't because of Mother's Day. Glad you had your traditional spaghetti at the Bistro. I miss Bistro boy. Wonder what's happening with him. Your yard sounds absolutely gorgeous. We should know you would be surrounded by beauty. Thanks for thinking of DD. Her toe hurts, but so does her lower leg. You know how one part is connected to another. She is overdoing because she has to.

Selah, we got one of the patio mats from the Q and it's looking great. It anchors a space. Thank you for saying something to phluphy. I was sort of afraid I'd upset you, but she needed help I knew you could give and I couldn't. Glad you are okay with it. She has such fresh grief. Bless you.

Love to all,

snappy {#emotions_dlg.tt1}

Aw, snappy, my friend ... I can't imagine you ever upsetting anyone---least of all me. Takes a lot to ruffle my feathers. Acts of cruelty, injustice, corruption ... Things such as that. I was just otherwise occupied at the time and didn't see the post until DeLaney texted me. I'm always happy to help anyone I can, and yes, Phluphy is more than welcome. Grief is an old "friend" of mine ... I'm sure we have all met him, in one form or another. I do not shy away from those in his early grips, but I doubt I have much to share on Widows now, and I may upset someone since I am long remarried with 5 grandchildren now. Not all choose that path. Never thought I would, but at age 25 (when I lost my first husband and son) one should probably not say "never." I'm glad you hooked us up! Invite anyone you like, at any time for any reason, with no worries! Hope the meeting went well with the painter.

Happy to hear that both you and cute are having good luck with your area rugs, too! I take mine in when the leaves start falling and bring it back out after the pollens stop blowing. Short summers here, so I love to add the color when I can!

One hour! That's just how you roll, cute! {#emotions_dlg.thumbup1} You must be in fabulous shape, my friend and I know your yard is, too.

My husband, Luke restores and details classic cars, trucks and motorcycles. I'm sure he'd be drooling at the sight of your corvette!

Have a beautiful Friday---and weekend, friends! Smile
