Last time we shopped there we bought a mattresses set for half off. Husband buys tools there. Now it's closing to be replaced by Nordstrom's Rack. Shopping is kind of hit and miss here. Nordstrom is too expensive for me so wonder how the Rack will be.

Not yet... it is in a huge mall. I am sure that the stores that are not making money will close and they will keep open only the money makers at this time. I love Sears, and I do buy any or all of my appliances from them. I have only had stellar customer service for as long as I have dealt with them. I know the time will come where they will be no more and it makes me very sad.......

I don't know how ours has remained opened for all the years it's been there.

No matter when you pass, if there are 20 cars in the lot, that's a lot.

The only thing I ever buy there are Kenmore sewing machine needles, I've tried other brands for my Kenmore machine and they don't seem to work as well.

My husband gave up on their tools years ago.

Ours hasn't either but it is never busy and they close 1/2 hour over the winter hours to conserve.

I hope they keep their appliance/tv and tools etc...although we bought a riding mower in 2006 and it has cost us more then the purchase price in repairs..everything is going..this is the last repair bill I am paying..getting a new one next time and it won't be Crafstman.

Mine would be gone with Craftsman tools part I think but it may not be long lived.

The one attached to a mall seems fine. The stand-alone one might be in trouble. I am not a fan of The Rack.

There is a Sears nearby in NJ in a mall so there's a lot of foot traffic. Doesn't appear to be closing up.

We spend time in Fla. in the winter and it's different down there. There's a large Sears in the Countryside Mall (Clearwater FL)and Whole Foods looks to be taking over the Sears. I believe the Sears will still exist with reduced departments.

yes! it closed last year. it was already doing bad - it was in a mall where over half the stores were already closed! it wasn't doing good at all and that just made it even worse.
