While it was once used widely and is added to some tooth pastes, she said it is far too abrasive to use on a regular basis. In other words, over time you will wear down your enamel.
If you are interested in whitening your teeth, I highly recommend Crest White Strips. I have had Zoom whitening (done professionally by a dentist) and I maintain them with the Crest White Strips. They are amazing!
Good info. Very helpful.
My pleasure!
So, did we lose our Charice thread? I don't see it anymore.
Yes, it's gone. I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did! I would like to repeat to you what a wonderful mom you are and I'm so glad your child has you. You were very kind on the thread also and explained a lot of things without having a "chip on your shoulder" (if you know what I mean). You made us all love you and your son.

We brush our dogs' teeth with it.

Aw, thanks. I don't have a chip on my shoulder at all. I am happy with both my kids, and the other one has Aspergers. Couldn't have asked for better kids!
Parenting anyone is a challenge, so I am just glad my kids are healthy, happy, kind, not pregnant, not in jail, not on drugs, do not have any terminal illness, etc. Things could be so much worse!
Yeah, I'm surprised that thread lasted as long as it did, but that's life in the fast lane
And that's all I'm going to say...I've hijacked enough threads for one day!!
Heading upstairs with my book. Have a great evening, everyone!

I remember my grandmother using baking soda when she ran out of her tooth paste.
Her regular tooth cleaner came in a tin upright bottle shape, small, brown tin, if I recall, and it was powder. I don't remember the name, I might have been too young to read it. It was a powder, not what we have today.

I sometimes have to use baking soda and it does not whiten my teeth.
