@feline groovy, oh, I would definitely choose amazon, too, if they have the item I want and if it's a better or comparable price.

And yes, I always google for promos. Retailmenot is probably my favorite.

As for Talbots, I pretty much buy only casual but nice-looking tees. :-)

we have one not too far away. it closed for a few years......then reopened in the exact same location. how strange is that?

havent been in for years and dont order from them online. i prefer belk or bealls florida or bon-ton for that level of department store shopping.

I love that store.  They have name brands just like Macy's.  I like them better because they hav a better selection of clothes.  I always find something to purchase there then when Im at Macys.

Here's my Boscov's story.  About 4-5 years ago a poster told us about a sale of Christmas dishes.  A service for 4 in several patterns.  Mine have cardinals.  All for the princely price of $3.99 INCLUDING s&h.  I've used my set o/o since then.  Not one piece even has a chip or a tiny crack.  Temptations should do this well.

Ive also shopped in their store in the Philly area, major department store.

I LOVE that store !!  Not one close to me in Maryland but I go every time we are near one in the NJ/ PA area ...  Got some great buys on Ralph Lauren, Jones of NY among others.  Wednesday is their sale day ...  never a problem with returns and have also shopped online with no problem.  Great store ...

What am I missing?  I have one nearby, was anxiously awaiting its opening because I had never heard of it before reading about it here, and I was very disappointed.  I think my main problem is that things are arranged by brand name (the reason I don't shop at Macy's) so you have to scour the whole floor to find a certain type of clothing.  If I ever try something on and want to go back for a different size, I can't find my way back lol

Most of their nothing-special clothes and shoes seem to be marked ridiculously high so they can be put "on sale" at a later date.  Yes, I have bought a few things there, but after reading about it here I thought I was going to really like it.

I love Boscov's.  Unfortunately, we do not have that store at all where we live.  We visit the Boscov's stores when we go to PA.  I always find so many clothes when I go there and for such reasonable prices and what I like the most is that they are different than what I can get where I live.  The clothes are very stylish and the shoe department is just the best.  Their shoe dept. is always so busy and I always end up buying at least three pair when I do go there.  So when I get money for my birthday or Christmas, I always save it for my shopping trip to PA.  Can't wait to go back.  I did really well in Burlington in PA too and bought a nice black winter coat for $54.

Was looking for nice dishes to replace old ones at vacation house and happened by a Boscov's in NJ.

Saw a " completer " set in creamy white with a slightly raised pattern on the band.  The plate was just a little larger than my regular sized plate and the bowl was more like a nice-sized personal, pasta bowl.  From $19.99, it was reduced to $ 4.99... Got service for 12 for less than $60 with a $10 off coupon.  They had 5 in the store and they had the remainder sent from another store.  Got it in 2 days!

So much nicer than the boxed sets of service for 4 and a lot less expensive !

I've shopped at Boscov's for 35 years, it's a great store with a little bit of everything. They have big petite section.
