Re: azure-noreply@microsoft.com

Thanks for the advice @haddon9! I did look at our account before I called. My mistake was I thought it might still come out and I wanted to stop it. I should have known better.

My "scam" education also started with Amazon years ago. And I actually got to talk to a person! She told me to look at the sending address, and if it came from a Gmail address delete it immediately and forward the message to their security department. So I knew to do that.

This one looked so REAL, with "Microsoft" in the sending address and the logo in the body. The bank told me actors are getting much better at replicating an actual website. It's really scary.

I gave this actor my phone number when I filled out the first form. Lately I've been getting bombarded with calls from numbers I don't recognize. The original actor was from another country. This actor has been leaving voice messages and sounds like he is from here. He says he's with one of the companies we deal with, gives a case number, and asks me to return the call. I called the company. They have no offices in the state he's calling from. I asked them if they could somehow research the number, but unfortunately they can't, They advised me to answer the number, and tell them to put me on a do not call list. So far I've just been ignoring the calls and deleting the voice messages.

I'm really busy the next few weeks and I don't have time to deal with this!

@beach-mom   Another thing that I do.... I have an iPhone and have added  the "silence unkown callers" feature.  It's a great feature and is easy to turn on or off.

Whenever I get a call from someone that is either not on my contact list or a number that I have spoken with before the phone no longer rings. However if it is important they can still leave a text message.  For example, we are having an appliance being delivered today and they can text me with information about the delivery.

I still have a land line where we get annoying calls but I have a small device that also blocks calls but many get through and I never answer those.

Good luck at keeping those scams away!   I have seen many videos on YouTube showing how the scammers are getting too good.
