I wonder if people go to stores and complain about the sales people they encounter there, like the do here online, hidden by a nicname.

I also wonder if people watch QVC too much, lol.

If something that a host does or says really bothers you, why not contact QVC. Directly? This way you have registered your complaint, and no one has to call out the flying monkeys.I'm not saying that anything will be done, however it would be at least as effective as posting here.

I feel I need to comment here.  And I really liked the post from the woman who asked if you would complain about the salespeople in a brick and mortar store and also mentioned that posters can hide behind nicknames here.  The moderators do have a tough, if not impossible job.  And I don't really see why people have to come here to bash the hosts either.  I particularly dislike this when the host is only doing what they have been hired to do -- present and sell products.  I can't even imagine trying to talk about the same item for 15 minutes while trying not to lose the audience and keep the audience interested at the same time, while someone is talking in your ear.  My goodness, the hosts are not given enough credit for the incredible job that they do.  A great many of them also have to do shift work at hours, when frankly, I would be unable to sell the best jewel in the country.  So I honestly just want to congratulate the hosts, the moderators, the customer service people and QVC in general.  While it is not the only place to turn to for many of us who can get out and shop in brick and mortar, there are some who are not so fortunate and it is a place to turn for folks with special challenges.  While we also might get tired of some of the same programming, I'm not at all sure how QVC sells its airtimeto those who produce the product.  Surely the time doesn't come free, so that should be a consideration.  Anyhow, thanks to the moderators, hosts and customer service reps for what they do.

This is why I REALLY miss the "ignore user" button. It seems if it was still around the Mods would see the top "ignored" users and figure out who the "stir the pot" people are. Some users seem to enjoy snarky, mean comments and I liked not having to read their toxic posts. JMHO. Good job Mods! You guys have lots more patience than me.Woman Wink

Speaking only for myself, familiarity breeds contempt.  I used to have QVC on just for background, but got really sick of hearing some hosts' voices & it seemed like it was the same old stuff being sold.  DUH!  So, for different background, I switched to a 24/7 news channel.  Guess, what?  In this general election year, I got really sick of hearing about all the candidates & their arguments.  Click.  Off goes the tv.  Now listening to radio or my CDs.  Lesson learned:  Too much of anything is too much.

Yep.  There ya go.  I barely turn on the tv.  A little in the evening.  Talk radio is my background "noise".

To pretend or assume that all "opinions" are just that - calm, rational statements of like or dislike and the reasons and impacts behind them - is disingenuous in the extreme. The threads *invariably* quickly degenerate into "X makes me sick to my stomach when...", "X looks like a (Low class Lady of the Evening) wearing that", "Z is just plain disgusting when", "I can't stand B", and on and on and on, these simple, "honest opinions".

Supposedly, all who post here are adults. And adults KNOW when they post something that is inappropriate before they post it. They know it's inappropriate just *thinking* about it. But they post it anyway, knowing it's rude and obnoxious and often bigoted, proud of that fact, and then claim favoritism, bias and censorship.

Boo-hoo. Credit the average forum member with more intelligence.
