I absolutely HATE IT! Leave it on Standard time year round! Even being retired now. It still screws up my sleep at every unnecessary change!

I like the time changes! And I look forward to them because it is a sign of the upcoming season and things to look forward to!

I think it started way back to give the farmers more daylight time.

 I hate having to turn the lights on at 3:00 p.m. in winter, and I love having daylight until after dinner time in the summer.

My grandmother and my mom always said this to me as long as I can remember:

In winter I get up at night and dress by yellow candlelight.

In summer quite the other way, I have to go to bed by day!

In MI, we've done this for years. It's not a big deal, but people make it seem like it is. I feel a little like jet-lagged for a day, then back to normal.

It stays light longer in the summer naturally even on Standard time.  It just doesn't stay light until 9 p.m.!

For fans of all that light you could get a condo in Alaska where it stays daylight for 6 whole months!

...or Las Vegas is pretty bright all night, too!

I agree with this and everyone that likes the Standard time! I feel so much better when the sun goes down earlier! My body never gets used to the DST!
