Why does he have to announce that he's had the vaccine? The only people he has to tell are his friends who gather together, because he has to have proof before they will let him in.

I don't plan on getting the vaccine but maybe one day I will change my mind. What does that make me?

Maybe they had arguments about it and that is the problem. Not that he got it but maybe that the op is not the one that talked him into it.

I would think nothing about his values or beliefs based on his change of mind and his not announcing it. I can't at all relate to your extreme reaction of not being able to look at him in the same way anymore.

I read "someone I talk to" in the post. Nothing about "friend/relative" or other than like me, people I talk with, conversation.

Once it got into the, should I/shouldn't I, get the shot! If it is "someone I talk to", why would I care what the he!! they decide to do? Tell me 1 thing and than do the opposite, tells me nothing that should concern me.

I've had friends that change their minds about things where we strongly agreed. Then for some reason they change their mind.i don't feel they have an obligation to tell me. Unless that topic comes up between us, I would simply say "I see you changed your mind", not "why didn't you tell me"!

Not sure what "fly by" means, other than maybe actually a short post, for me. Believe me, I have "dismissed" many over my 52 years of running an adult hockey league.

That does not mean not talking with them or being cordial, it just means I take very little they have to say seriously, because they have given more than 1 reason to do so. And yes, to me they are "blow hards", have a lot to say but very little follow up that makes sense to me.

Boy could I write a long list of those men, and a few women.
