Why not?  You are a member of the community and should feel free to post within board standards.

I meant I should not have mentioned the topic as being Covid vaccine.  I feel people are focusing on that.  Should have been more general in choosing the subject as the vaccine.  I appreciate all the responses though

@rms1954, do mean that you should have just asked whether people should change their minds in general?

No.

I don't care that he changed his mind; I care that he bloviated it to lots of other people but if he changed his mind for whatever reason, then don't try to hide it.  Cuz to me if you're hiding it or withholding it, then there is a reason for that.

Me personally I've not said I will never get the vaccine. What I say just like I said to my doctor today is I don't feel ready. I will wait. I hardly go anywhere and don't feel the need to jump into it. If I get it tomorrow or next week that doesn't make me a bad person that means I changed my mind and found a reason to get the vaccine.

What would/do I think?

I would think this person is a blow hard and not someone I would associate with for longer than a couple minutes.

Bother me? He!! I have been around hundreds of people that are full of hot air. In 1 ear out the other.

Maybe he just likes you and guessed you'd react this way. And valued your friendship and didn't want to lose it.

How did you find out he was hiding it?

Maybe he was hiding it from you because he knew you would overreact...

Who says we don't learn anything on these forums?  I  learned a new word--bloviated.  I seriously had to look it up.  Thanks @rms1954 !

Maybe he was embarrassed that he found a reason to get it after being so opposed to it. I still don't even slightly understand your beef with that. People can be stubborn and then they can also change their mind. What it makes them is human and nothing more.

I'm not judging his choice to get the vaccine.  It's the way he handled the whole thing.  I can't look at him the same.  My point is made.  Thanks all.

It's okay to change your mind. I suppose he wanted to continue to meet with his group and buckled.

He kept it hushed because it didn't want to hear " I told you so" from everyone and was embarassed that he was "forced"  to do something he didn't really want to.
