I was actually at the coast the other day and say a biker man and woman on the beach all clad in leather. I didn't look too closely at their branding but did notice that the woman's jacket said "Property of Wess" and his jacket said "Wess" in big letters.
I don't know if that's what MC Gangs do or not but I found it degrading and sad....

My area of WV has 2 motorcycle clubs. They are not known for troublemaking in public, altho police may be called when their social events at their private property clubhouse gets out of hand.
Both clubs are featured in the news every holiday season for their work to help children enjoy a nice Christmas. The SA Angel Tree helps children up to age 12; these clubs help teens 13-19 enjoy a nice Christmas, and help make Christmas for children with incarcerated parents.
My husband is good friends with one of the club leaders, and donates money to their fundraising for Christmas. Apparently "we" have been invited to their clubhouse events several times, but my husband isn't interested in socializing with the group. He just maintains casual friendship with the guy.

I am saddened by some of the responses to this post. Substitute the name of an ethnic group or a race for Hell's Angels and this thread would be poofed in a heartbeat.
The hatred and discrimination mentioned here is appalling. Even judging people by what they wear and incidents that occurred 55 years ago.
The OP said this is a small town. Hell's Angels have day jobs and work in that small town. Let's hope you never need their help....one may even be the EMT who a arrives to your 911 call. But don't worry. they'll do their job and not judge you before giving aid.
I will be moving across the country in the next year. I truly hope some of you are not my neighbors.
Sorry if this sounds cruel but maybe because we are celebrating America's birthday today, and the fact that this hatred is so prevalent in this country and on this board really got to me today.
We've got to do better if we are going to survive as a country.

I can understand yr apprehension.
My late Older Brother was a confirmed Biker/BClubber/?HA - Rough Crowd but almost entirely with themselves/other BikerClub lifestyles only, not with normie's such as us.
They neither envy nor choose our own boring lifestyle what so ever, so they pretty much leave us alone! Were boring! heh
IMHO, the exception is if living at, near or influenced by Mexico, NMex, or other vicinity which is a no way for me. Not even Texas.
Heres my Red Light.
Bikers can enjoying drinking a lot! But so can many other groups.
I will NOT go near *any* kind of groups when they're headed toward heavily drinking. I dont care if it's Country Club, Birthday Party or Bikers/Groups. Experience taught me, nothing good comes from any drinking/drunken/drug'n groups. I just slip out
In fact, if the Bikers are not feeling threatened, Bikers/Clubs/HAs not only leave us alone, but can be quite helpful & kind to normies like us, ex mechanics, lifting heavy objects, wisdom...
As suggested here, I would call Police (probably during different Police Shifts), and get the low down on this grp, other neighboring Biker groups, & any/all crime in the area.
If there's no issues u discover that could threaten Normie's like us, I wldnt feel uneasy or threatened.
Always wear yr Best Judgement. w/ any body.
Just live & let live, (esp if has no effect to you).
Enjoy life & yr non-stressed retirement, there g/f .
Good luck & Prayers, @Puzzle Piece ![]()

But to be expected here.
For all we know, each individual may be contributing a great deal. What a very, very narrow analysis of your neighbor based upon superficialites and perceived notions. Sad. Very sad.
Boy are you naive.
I suggest doing some research as to what each of the colored patches they wear on their vests/jackets mean, and what the man had to do to earn it. They are not Boy Scouts.
The men rule and their women have to obey.
Not my idea of a bunch of sweethearts.
@DottieBlue Your research is very narrow and limited.

She is simply looking out for her safety and who are you to judge?

I only mentioned one example of the types of men that are members of the Hells Angels as indicated by the colors of the wing patches they proudly wear on their clothing.
You have no idea what my research has been on this organization. "Narrow and limited"? Not according to my supervisors. I do acknowledge that alot of the intelligence on these groups is not available in the Public Domain, so perhaps it's your research that is "narrow and limited." However, the meanings of the wing patch colors is available, with diligent searching, on the internet.
Scary, very scary, how successful this organization's PR campaign has been.

yeah, just like members of the Mafia...some good, some bad.
