Washington DC is worried about drones, spying and carrying explosives, and possibly becoming a threat to air travel. We already have idiots using lasers against pilots, I can imagine some of them wouldn't think twice about playing drone intercept with helicopters and small aircraft, to say the least.
I worry about accidents with them, especially over schools and playgrounds.
I totally understand how beneficial they can be to follow criminals or to look for people and children lost in the wilderness, but all this leads to me think they should be highly regulated and not for use by every Tom, Richard & Harry.

And how long until one goes through the bedroom window of a child sleeping nearby?

Hi Noel!!
I agree with everything you said. I too wonder if the benefits outweigh the risks. There is a high potential for tragic accidents.
I don't think they should be allowed to deliver pizzas or orders from Amazon. Only used when deemed absolutely necessary for searches and rescues and even then under tight control!

Don't like them at all.

Drones are probably like lots of potentially dangerous items; that is, in the hands of the irresponsible, their risks far outweigh any benefits. Sadly, I expect many drone users will be irresponsible.

Mom,
I'm so glad you weighed in, I haven't seen too many people worried about this, but I can foresee a lot of problems!
I don't think they should be delivering pizzas or Amazon orders, either. OMG, can you just imagine the skies, especially over highly populated areas, filled with drones?
