That's my thinking, too, millie. I really don't understand why more people aren't concerned.

I don't either, and they're noisy, as least those I've heard.

I think, as others do, that used judiciously they are useful.
But the potential for horrible accidents is there, too.
I don't know that any of us can adequately assess the risk/benefit ratio.

Drones - using drones for delivering packages is the 1st step to eliminating the need for delivery drivers.....I'm all for progress but at the same time the more automation used the less people are needed in our world.....eventually we'll all be standing around with nothing to do all day, no means to support ourselves, etc. with the world controlled by the owners of bots/drones. I try not to think of a bleak future for our world but it's difficult to think positively about it when the very essence of our being and self perservation is slowly disappearing.

I was droned a few weeks ago. I posted regarding it. Strange, but unnerving and somewhat unwelcome. I had no idea what it was looking for in my yard.

I am okay with law enforcement using drones. Terrorists or drug cartels using them here, NO!

I doubt that anyone here would give the thumbs up to this.

I'm sorry I missed that, sylvia! That's awful.

Did anyone see Modern Family recently where the entire show was about some unknown person using a drone to try to see Gloria sunbathing in her back yard?
The family gets together to try to take it down, and in the end, Gloria takes out a gun and shoots it down.
I can totally understand wanting to do that. My point is that some people might be pushed to take it to an extreme, especially if they think they're protecting someone they care about.
