Re: Your New Year's Resolution

I try to focus on a resolution that isn't immediately doomed to failure. Smiley Happy

Rather than vowing to stop doing something, I try to concentrate on something positive that I can do. A kind word, a smile of support, of encouragement. An act of kindness.  Just trying to be a better person, one step at a time!

I resolve to:

1) Spend more time on my couch watching tv.

2) Limit all unnecessary movement...don't need to wear out my parts.

3) Eat more butter...butter n' sketty especially.

Haha, no really I just always say I want to try to be/do better...

Love this @GingerHead  especially "...don't need to wear out my parts"...Thank you for the laugh!

I don't make them. If I feel that I need to change something in my life, I just make the change.

Re: Your New Year's Resolution

Same as last four years. No refined sugar desserts. No chocolate. Four years next March 2024 and have kept that resolution. And no, it is not easier now than four years ago.The holidays are tough.

Re: Your New Year's Resolution

When younger, I used to subscribe to the fantasy that I could make resolutions and some magic would evolve to help me keep them. Uh, I found out otherwise...lol. None now.

Re: Your New Year's Resolution

I stopped making resolutions back in my '20's.  I just find something I need to improve in my life.  Not like loosing weight, stop smoking or drinking kind of resolution/improvement but to have more patience or stop obsessing over a certain way of doing something.   Such as this AS to be done today or I cannot go to sleep tonight.

I don't do them. Don't need the recrimination or guilt.

Re: Your New Year's Resolution

I haven't made many New Year's resolutions in the past, but I am this year. No processed foods (eat clean), exercise more, and yesssss to dark chocolate.
