I leave mine on too.

We have a Cuisinart Keurig brewer. I set the menu for the auto on/off. It is set to come on at 6 AM and to turn off at 10 PM. If we go out of town we turn it off and unplug it.

We use it in the morning before work and in the evening after dinner, but leave it on ALL the time. We never turn it off.

Do whichever is easier for you, that's what is best.
I normally don't drink multiple cups of coffee during the day and mine is on the timer for the morning. I drink a lot of iced drinks when I come home at night, so if I'm going to make multiple glasses of iced tea, I'll leave it on for a while. I do the same in the winter if I'm home and want hot tea or coffee. If it's a m ore random thing and I don't plan on using it, I turn it off. It doesn't take long to warm up, so I turn it on and by the time I get a glass and fill it with ice or a mugs and add some creamer, the machine is ready to go. Mine is off most of the time.
If you leave it on all the time, it will use more energy, which is the disadvantage. I've got enough things that are and using up energy all the time that I prefer to turn things off when I can.

We leave ours on twenty four hours a day everyday. It has never been a problem.

I don't use mine on a regular basis, so I turn it on & off as I'm using it. That's more a function of cutting back on caffeine than anything else. Some environmentalists say we should unplug all our electronic devices & appliances when we aren't using them because they're still drawing electricity when they're just plugged in. That's probably not realistic for most of us, but a noble thought.
BTW, it was not a dumb question. I always say, when in doubt, ask!

Mine has the timer function. I set it to come at 5 AM and off at 2 PM. Rarely does anyone drink coffee during the off time and it's easy to push the switch in the back if we need to.
My old Keurig did not have that feature and I left it on all the time.

I have the personal size one that makes one cup at a time --- and I just love the little thing--- after it brews the cup of coffee, it shuts off by itself.

Mine gets unplugged when we are gone out of town only.

I turn it off.
