Cuban Missile Crisis. Only that i was aware of something very bad happening, There was a hush throughout the house and my Dad didnt smile or laugh. Parents being very quiet and the TV was on.

 

when JFK was shot, i do remember, it was 1st grade and after leaving the classroom,  the teacher dismissed us.  i was walking home and a boy rode up on his bike and said the President was shot and i said  Yes But TheyAre Going to Make Him Well.  the TV was on all day every day. we had the TV on that Sunday - watched live when Ruby shot Oswald. The explanation i was given was that Ruby felt sorry for Mrs.Kennedy.
