What I believe the reasons the young horrible behavior is many.
The family unit with a Mom and dad are so different now. Not teaching the youth about God. One posted said they don't need our prayers, that's a huge problem. Taking God out of schools. Not caring who your child is around daily. I see around me daily since I live by a park youth acting and doing horrible things, as young as 10 no parents around.
One boy my neighbor talk to after she asked why he was at the park sitting on the bench writing graffiti. He said it was better than being home. The family unit is broken.
I'm a mom, my husband and I feel we did our best and find favor with God. We are grandparents now, everyone is thriving with much gratitude for us 🙏🏻 says a lot when your kids thank you for the way you raised them.
I do completely agree social media has affected the youth in more negative ways than positive.
Pray for our youth and their parents 🙏🏻 it's not always easy specially nowadays.

Well summarized. I might add, however, that the games that are placed on media have gone too far. They depict murder, hate, combat way too graphically. The concept is treated as an everyday occurrence. Youth is being manipulated for $$$.

Those things did happen in our household. Video games weren't a problem, I didn't let her have one. There were curfews, a bedtime, there was popular music and shows she wasn't allowed to listen to or watch. Chores, community service. She wore expensive clothing lines but I a cheerleader for school uniforms. Unfortunately we were never able to make that happen.

I just learned tonight that the high school my grandchildren go to has police officers. This is in a town of 5,000 people.

@monicakm Welcome back!🥰 I was shocked when I read of police officers being in your dear grandchildren's school!😲 My jaw dropped as I thought they were only needed in schools that had a shooting or other extremely violent offenses.🫤 HOPEFULLY it will act as a deterrent!

@monicakm Welcome back!🥰 It is rather disheartening when you think about it, but is comforting to know the schools are making student and faculty safety a priority!👍 Such a thing was not even a consideration when we were young and in school! If it saves one student or faculty member from a senseless violent act, it is WORTH it!❤️
