Watching QVC and posting on their message board also shows your age. I don't know any younger people who watch QVC. When I mentioned it to my sister and niece one day they both just looked at me and said what is that. Yes, there are some younger posters her but most are not young.

Yahoo does seems out of date. I never used it.  I use Gmail.  It's still free with no ads.  My husband has two of them.   Gmail and Yahoo.  I really hope it doen't change with Gmail and being charged.  I was curiious so I looked it up.  Gmail has l.8 Billion active users.

In the business world yahoo and AOL email addresses "show your age".  It is recommended that you do not use these accounts when applying for jobs.  Other free email accounts such as Gmail would be better suited in those situations.

@CrazyDaisy google copies all gmails and attachments.

@songbird

I can't imagine why you'd think Yahoo is out of date.  How would you know if you've never used it??  I have Yahoo and husband has Gmail.  I often have to check his email for him and find Gmail irritating and not as intuitive as Yahoo.  I think whatever we use for email is just a matter of preference rather than one being "better" or more "up to date" than the other.

@shoesnbags   I think @songbird intended to say that it shows your age, or makes one look old, not that it is outdated per se.

I have had my free yahoo mail since 1999 and still use it with no issues

@Venezia I was not criticizing anyone using AOL. As I said, I use it myself.  I was saying that, yes, apparently some do believe it's old fashioned from that comment I received.
