See, for those who insist that Victor is the devil personified while thinking Smilin' Jack is All That, well, Jack's hypocritical and two-faced nature along with his greed and need for vengeance has once again gotten the better of him in him agreeing to team up with Satan's Spawn. I really didn't think the writers would go this far in such an about face with Jack's hatred toward Adam and by association and her choices, of Sharon, but then, who can be surprised these days with the inroads the writers take where Satan, Jr. is concerned. Some one of the writers evidently has a thing for that actor in wanting to keep him on the show at all costs to the viewer and the writing continues to become more and more warped.
Worthy of note also is - more secrets in that both Jack and Satan, Jr. agreed that they want to keep their alliance secret from Phyllis and Sharon. If what they are planning wasn't contemptible and proof of both of their dishonest personalities, they would have no need to keep their plotting a secret from their so-called "love of their lives". They are both blatantly unsavory and despicable. Of course, the truth will come out but with Sharon being so brainwashed in her "feelings" toward Satan II, she will find a way to excuse anything he does. Phyllis is a lost cause as well with her diabolical nature taking a turn to want to "help" prove Sharon's innocence. Something is just wrong when one minute these two are arch enemies and the next Phyllis finds it worthy to "help prove Sharon's innocence". Phyllis is as insane as Sharon.
Then reading that Nick has a - what was it? a "change of heart", it implies that even he is going to back off the custody case and once more Sharon and Adam gets everything, putting Faith in the hands her kidnapper, Satan, Jr., and his care????? What is up with that? Why can't Nick have a backbone and stay committed to getting Faith away from Sharon and Adam? I just do not understand what Nick finds redeemable about Sharon and her "mothering skills" to warrant calling off the sole custody. This is becoming a fast track to total insanity and a case for "Stop the insanity, I want to get off" for the viewers. I am hoping that the scene with Ashley telling Sharon off and questioning her sensibilities regarding Faith, that more will come of that and perhaps Ashley will try to get Faith back. Ashley has every reason to be as upset as she was in seeing how Sharon has abused being given Faith.
Back to my original thought - I truly think Jack is as despicable, hypocritical, and unconscionable as they come. I will take Victor and his actions any day over Jack Abbott for teaming up with Adam. Victor's actions are generally brought about in his eyes as an attempt to help someone in his family or to get revenge when he has been wronger, i.e., by Adam - even if he has to hurt them in the process whereas Jack just has knee jerk reactions and will do whatever sleezy thing he can to one-up Victor. He doesn't need a reason. He has no morals or convictons of right and wrong and is just eaten up with wanting to "best" Victor. Jack is every bit as much a "bad seed" as what those who perceive Victor to be. JMHO. Thanks for letting me vent!
